Android box stuck on startup

[Android Central Question]

It takes forever to toothpick to reset it.
But i have done enough tests to confirm the following.
If device loses power (even if its properly turn off) it will be stuck on logo screen.
If I manage to start it up i can turn it off using the remote but I CAN NEVER UNPLUG IT.
is this an indication of an error with the hardware?
Once its started it works normally with no issues.
