Android Central: remember the good old days?

I have been an avid fan of Android Central for a decade. But of late it has just become a forum for paid advertising. I used to trust this site to give me unbiased information. Now it's all about the money. Very sad. And the site is cluttered with endorsements and ads for everything from vacuum cleaners to cleaning products. How can a reader in this environment trust anything you say about any android product when we know there may be money handed to you for the review?

Yup. My ad blocker works a treat but now "articles" start with you should use XYZ product... These can't be blocked as they're seen as articles. I struggle to find a genuine article now. So I don't go there any more. I can block all ads here in the forums, when that ceases to be the case, I won't come here either. And now mobile nations has been acquired, I imagine they'll be even more bombardment...

I just hang out in the forums. There's usually a fair bit of news here, and no ads on the AC Forums app. Hopefully it stays that way.
