It's such a great looking phone! This would make a fine upgrade form my BB Tour. The Droid X has such a nice screen and Motorola is good quality!

Besides it possibly being my first android phone, the large screen, multiple camera options and mics. I can't wait
The Droid X will be the new benchmark. The features alone will push other companies to up their game. Way to go Motorola and Verizon! Timing is incredible with the issues that At&T and Apple are having. Verizon should capitalize on this. Please send a 'X' my way...thanks.
Why is the Droid X the hottest phone of the year? Well, 854x480 4.3" screen is a good start. The TI processor has also shown to be quite the performer. It's basically taken all the successes of the Droid and made them better, what more can you want in a phone?
I have an Eris. So after weeks of speculation about 2.1, installing non Verizon approved leaks (3 times), call lag, weather widget, etc etc etc......I'm exhausted. Send me a Moto Droid X and I can relax.

Does it really have to be about why this is the hottest phone of the entire year? Because I think the Droid 2 will be a better phone later this year, and just based off of several review sites, the EVO is at least as good, and in the case of reviews like Engadget's, better.
I do like that the battery is better on the Droid X. Can that count?
I might add that the Samsung Galaxy S phones will all have Super AMOLED screens (which are at least a nice-looking and should be more responsive than the Droid X's screen), as good of battery life, physical keyboards, and a processor that is faster AND better on battery life.

Droid X Rules!
I want one so bad! I already use my Droid 1 for school things (I teach 5th grade) and all the kids think I am so techy! I am a humble Google servant bowing to the Google Gods and use my current Droid to access Google related school work, grade student submissions, update/post/respond to student Moodle subbmissions and Email. A larger screen, faster processor, and newest gadget are all I need to make next year's class bow to my technology even more.

The Droid X is the hottest phone for a number of reasons.
First of all, its the latest phone, coming out just after the evo didn't manage to fulfill the demand of the public and with the few issues the evo has, the droid seems to be able to take the lead as the top phone. There is also the better audio quality with the triple mic's as well as the highest screen resolution of any phone on the market. The case as well is stronger as well using metal and soft-rubber. The fact that it has actual buttons is also nice, but of course the best feature in my opinion is the switch from the snapdragon processor to the omap processor with the on-board dsp. The droid also has much better battery life as I understand and it is much lighter and thinner than its closest equivalent, the evo. As for design, the hump made by the camera seems somewhat convenient, allowing you to easily remove it from your pocket as well as hold it when using it as a camera. When using the phones operating system, the combination of android with motoblur seems to be able to fit anyone's necessity's and creates an ease of communication that's unrivaled. Of course I could just go on listing all the features of the phone and why they add to it's greatness but as I see it, this is really where the phone stands out above the others.

It's an iPhone killer, it's an EVO killer, it's an Incredible Killer, it's DEFINATELY a RIM killer. The Droid X overshadows every smartphone available. It literally X's them out. I gotta have one!

The Droid X is the hottest phone of the year. It has the power and screen size to blow away the iPhone and is big enough to even to threaten the iPad. Evo who?
X marks the spot and right now the Droid X looks to hit that mark right on. I am very excited to get my hands on one of these. The EVO and Iphone 4 will have no chance once this baby hits the market. Hope to win and join in the fun.
