with its huge screen and powerful processor, this phone can do it all. I'm amazed at what I can do with my Droid, I can only imagine what could be done with the X. amazing.

SIZE MATTERS? You Better Believe It!

The Way I see it, Go BIG, or Go home.
This bad boy is big in every way; from processing power to screen size and res. I was at my local Verizon store the other day playing with a Droid X Demo, and was mesmerized by a football video playing on that gorgeous screen. I wanted to punt my current smartphone out the door!

At the end of your review, you ask three questions..
Are you fine with an on-screen keyboard?
Are you OK with a 4.3-inch screen?
Do you get good service from Verizon where you live and work?

The answer? Yes! Yes! And Hell Yes! Pick me!

A different kind of reply...

Normally on a post to win contest i give a brief comment and hope for the best, this time I'm going with the notion that the more info the better. First things first, the iPhone killer thing is getting old might I say. Believe or not, Apple is doing a good job of creating that themselves (see iPhone 4). Here's is what the Droid X does, forgive me I had to. It has a rather gargantuan screen, not see it from space big, but large enough for one not to feel extreme eyestrain. How could you, you have 4.3" of screen to work with. I'm not sure if it's pocket friendly, but I assume if not a phone holster would do just fine. It has what is becoming the new norm for smartphones, a 1 GHz processor. Not sure how much RAM it has, but I'm sure it'll suffice. Next on deck is the Android OS. A nice contradiction to other mobile platforms like iOS, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry 5/6, Palm, etc., Android powered by the processor is a snappy OS for anyone. It is not complicated to use, and with search tied into the OS, you only a search away from what you're looking for. A few other things I'm excited about are the 720p abilities, hdmi, and Google Nav. One thing I like that the Droid X has is the 8gb on board plus expansion of up to 40gb (with Micro SD). This will honestly allow me the use the phone for as long as I want. For a phone, that is seemingly endless storage. Another plus when factoring whether or not to get this phone is the network, and there is no more reliable network than Verizon (IMO). All of these things makes up one of the best phones available right now, and I love to be in good company. I'm coming from the very buggy Storm 1 (9530), and would welcome the foray into Android country. That is why I feel I should win. Thanks.

The reason I would ask for one is for my father. He is 64 years old.
He has had the Storm 1 since launch. That was his first smartphone. However, as he puts it, he needs to hit 5 buttons to just send a message. I have the Incredible, and would definitely give this to him (and I would provide proof).
My brother just switched to the INC as well and now my father is jealous.
He needs a big screen because of his eyesight and loves that it can be setup to be a simple device. i.e. big buttons, simple widgets, etc. not just what BB forces you to have.

The HUGE screen! Talk Time! Call Quality!

Droid X's screen is HUGE! You can watch high quality video that you record with the 8 megapixel camera AND movies. And if the X's screen's not big enough, go ahead and use the HDMI to hook it up to your TV for even bigger awesomeness.
Additionally, with 8 hours of talk time, you won't need to charge it constantly like lesser (lame) phones. Which is awesome since the three microphones and high performance diversty antennas promise spectacular call quality. And finally... VERIZON's coverage!

The reason why this puppy is the hottest phone out there. One reason cannot explain why. The large screen, makes reading/typing a joy. The processor/GPU will blow the doors off most phones. The verizon network is going to make this a device that can be used almost anywhere.

Over all, it has sleek lines, not too large, well built and seems like that Moto got their mojo back :D

Throwing my hat into the ring.

Definitely will be using the DX to replace my Blackberry, which is seemingly more a dumb phone when compared to all of the features of the DX.

Push email is becoming a non issue, again, especially with all the other features of Android OS.

...and the 4.3" screen!!!

Because...

I am jealous of my wife's Droid and I want this killer phone :)

For me, it is definitely the media consumption aspect. Large screen, hdmi, and dlna rolled into one package. I have been looking for a portable device like this for years, a device onto which I can load movies and pop them on at a friend's house via hdmi, without carrying too much around.

Badass - Sprint - HTC = Even more Badass!

As some other people have said, the big selling points for this phone that its an Evo/Incredible experience without being tied to Sprint or HTC. I have an Eris now (remember the Eris?), and I can say without hesitation that I wear this phone out. Hell, I've practically built all of the processes for my small business around it. But, SenseUI slows me down, and I don't get Sprint's 4G in my area (in fact Sprint doesn't even support 3G in my area). Having an X on Verizon, with no processor lag, I don't even have the words to describe how happy I would be....

Its because it has a 1Ghz processor, so I won't have to wait for anything like I do on my current phone.

It is also the only phone to date that is making me drive to a store to be there when it open to try to get one.

I Want to win the Droid X

I for one think the Droid X is the hottest phone of the year. And here's why first off it has a 1Ghz processor, an 8mp camera, shoots in 720p, and will have froyo later this summer. It is the only phone that has as sleek a design with all of these specs. Not only that it has msg widget that stream the msg for you. And its all for $199.99. I have only one thing to say to that. WOW THAT'S A LOW PRICE.=-O

1.5 million people seem to think the iphone 4 is pretty hot, but these people must not realize that the Droid x is better in almost every way.

First is the software. The droid has a better OS which actually lets you customize stuff with widgets and the neat ability to change what the home button can do. It also comes with google?s amazing free software, swype, and it will eventually be able to run flash.

Next is the hardware. The Droid has a screen that's almost an inch bigger than the iphone's which makes it great for watching video and navigating around the phone. This, along with the HDMI output, makes the Droid the perfect multimedia phone. Another advantage the Droid has is and expandable memory slot. This makes it super easy to transfer pictures or movies between the phone and a computer and also allows the phone enough storage to hold movies that take advantage of its multimedia options. The camera is also 8 megapixels which is much better than the iphone's 5.

A huge advantage the Droid has is Verizon's network. Both phones have wifi capabilities, but once you go anywhere that isn't a building or a major city you lose at&t's 3g coverage and the iphone is super slow. The Droid on the other hand, uses Verizon's network which has given me 3g coverage everywhere over several cross country trips. Constant 3g, along with the Droid's ability to act as a hotspot can make you a high speed internet machine.

Very few people would argue that the iphone isn't a hot item for 2010, but it's pretty clear that with all the Droid X's advantages it is the hottest phone of the year.

The DroidX is a great phone, because it's getting me away from my weekly battery pulls, and slow ^ss browser that I have with my Blackberry!

I can't wait to get mine!!!
