I am writing this for my Dad. I am a 17 year college bound student and my dad has giving up everything for me and my brother who has just graduated highschool. I need a MACBook Pro and my brother did too, and he has purchased for both of us. I think that was great, I know he feels tha this phone is out of this world, he always talks about being able to transfer files wirelessly from his computer to the phone, from the xbox to the phone. He brags about how big the screen is, and I know my mom got mad at him because he spent 2 hours at Verizon playing with the phone. He talks about the hotspot capability. He loves this phone, that is all he talks about, really it is. I think he cn conveince anyone to purchase it. I know he loves tha the phone has 3 microphones on it, an 8Meg camarea, the resolution of the screen, and he flat out said is was the IPhone killer phone. He is always debating with our neighbor who swares by the IPhone, on how much better the Droid X is, and he needs to switch to Verizon from ATT and get one. He is addicted to this phone. I am beyond happy with my DI, but I assume that the DX is going to have better battery life and will probably get Froyo first. I guess that makes it better? Either way, I'd love a free one!
I have 3 reasons...My girlfriend decided to get the original Droid which is the phone I have. Many of my friends now have Iphone 4s and keep saying how their phones are more powerful. Lastly I have never won anything and a Droid X would be awesome.
It's the hottest phone because it is a Motorola Droid without the medicore keyboard, hence thin, fast, solid, and, unlike the Evo, no silly kickstand.
Isn't it obvious? It's a 1ghz, 8MP GIRL GETTER!!!! And it takes all those iphoners to skool!!!!
p.s. got pushed in a pool with my moto droid and now have my house's back-up, an old blackberry world edition that doesnt't even have a camera!!!! I neeed this phone, don't make me suffer

(eligible only to those that were "oversold" on the Droid Incredible by our lovely staff at Android Central)
c. Lame-o Youtube/Stupid picture Contest:
(we could always go with our usual, give it away to the lamest, over dramatic, borderline begging YouTube video posted in the forum. Even better, we could have users post pictures of their Android Phones next to their pets!)
....those are just a couple of ideas the interns here at Android Central were kicking around. So let use know what you think. Sorry, I have to get back to my game of Angry Bird....

Just kidding guys, much respect to everyone at Android Central. I appreciate the devotion and coverage of new Android devices. I stumbled on the site while researching new phones awhile back and have been hooked ever since.
Although I am very pleased with the Droid Incredible, I find my self having the urge to get a Droid X. I'll admit I am relatively new to the Android platform, I was ready to upgrade from the LG Chocolate I had been packing for 4 years plus. Android Central guided me along the plank with opinions, reviews, and forums posts. Then when the Incredible was released, with gentle prodding from AC's review, I took the plunge into the Android Ocean. Like a typical Android Noob/Rookie/Amateur, I "popped" on the latest and "greatest" Android device on Verizon. Now, I am left with envy and jealousy, like those bad daytime dramas with horrible acting.
I implore you Android Central, grant me a Droid X, so I can give the forum members what they want: A fair and balanced, side by side, comparison of these two Verizon beasts. Unbiased and highly opinionated, diving into every nook and cranny, leaving no App unturned, giving all those Android Central Members sitting on the "Metaphoric See-Saw" the info needed to edge towards one side or another...

This is the hottest phone of the year because its a 4.3inch screen, verizon service, and You can hold it anyway you like it. So when some one asks you about what your packing in your pants, just let them know its the biggest, longest, most powerful black thing you'll ever see ( adding to the additional complexes that iPhone users already have). In world that doesn't bless everyone with a big one, Droid Does.
The snapdragon makes it where you don't even need to use a task killer and the 4.3 screen is amazing! and the body is so slim and fits so well in your hand and I love the camera on it! i have the incredible and have already tooken over 1300 pics on it. The camera is one of the biggest feature im looking for in a phone.

Why I should win 
I would love to have this phone. Here at work, we try to outdo each other with the phone. I would be king of the mountain, if I won it. I would tell everyone that I got it from Android Central :=)

Love the Droid X!
Looks better than the Motorola Droid and has a bigger screen! It's the best looking Droid out there! Got to have it!

A friend of mine works at Verizon, and he thinks this is the phone to kill the iPhone, but really thats just a matter of opinion. While I agree with him 100% others may not.
Another reason to buy this phone is merely because of its screen size, I mean wow thats huge! The TI OMAP 3630 processor in conjunction with a GPU is extremely fast for a phone, the things people are doing with then now is amazing(Can't use incredible in an X post!).
Couple other great things about this phone are the service provider(Verizon obviously) and the operating system... Verizon being hands down the most reliable network and the Android OS being among the top 2 if not number 1, the only thing that really even compares is iOS and thats just a matter of opinion.
I'm not going to lie and say "Oh the camera is awesome" because, lets face it, its a phone camera, if your just in it for the cam and nothing else matters to you, go get yourself an iPhone... Anyways, those are just some of my opinions,

Large 4.3-inch display — Being a member of the ever growing old population, but not too old to appreciate an eye popping display, my poor weary eyes could sure use this phone. I think this phone rocks and will give me and my geriatric friends’ new hope for mobile entertainment on the way to the doctors for our weekly colonoscopy checkups.
Swype – This is another great and much needed improvement to mobile phones. My fingers just don’t move quite the way they used to. I’ve been trying to swype whilst I type for years. Finally, a product has caught up with me, although at my age how hard could that be?
Noise canceling abilities – Nothing is more embarrassing than to be talking on the phone with family members back home and have the old codger next to me rip a big one, does this thing do air purification also? Can someone develop an app for that!? Anyways, to be able to direct the mic on me and not the surroundings is one awesome feature. I don’t know of any phone out there that can do that and I need it bad, not that the air purification software isn’t important around here too.
Photo and video capture – Perhaps one of the most important of features is the ability to capture clear, crisp photos and videos of the pretty looking girls that come to visit us here at the home. If there’s one thing that keeps me and the other old coots going it’s those videos and photos we share at the end of the day.
So as you can see, this blazing fast, feature rich, eye popping, gorgeous phone is the only thing that can keeps me (and the guys) going inside this geriatric asylum. Please, please remember this worn out old man, who could sure use this awesome piece of technology in this technolgy barren wasteland, when deciding who to give that phone to!

besides being almost as fast as the nexus one with froyo and still in eclair...Droid X has a great screen...more fps than the evo....hdmi output
a great camara with different scenes
