The perfect combination of screen size, speed, build quality, and OS.....that and I have been stuck with my Gen 1 Storm for a year and a half and really screwed myself when I tried out the Incredible for a month. Please! Please! I promise to take good care of her.

Why do I think it's the hottest phone? Let's see maybe because it's an android phone first of all. Second I believe the larger screen and faster processor make this phone great all on its own and makes me want to buy one even though I love my droid

two words Iphone killer, the droid x is like having HD tv in your pocket, not to mention a small super computer, I could rule the airwaves with this phone and launch my plan for world domination, while I watch a movie from blockbuster!!
I want to be hated on by IPhone users when my phone kicks their phone's ass. I want to sing ........NA na na na na na............ stupid IPhone user.........
Motorola did a good job with this device. A great follow up (upgrade) to current Motorola Droid users and a great new experience to those coming from a different handset.

I really think it's awesome the way that Android Central is having these contests, so those of us normally unable to receive the latest and greatest get a shot at it.

Okay, why do I want a Droid X even though I have a Droid Incredible:
1) I always liked Motorola
2) I would like to use something closer to stock Android to compare to Sense (which I very much like).
3) It would enable me to give my Incredible to my best friend, who wants to get into smartphones but can't afford the cost of the phone right now. It's a chance to make a Droid convert.

The Droid X is the hottest phone of the year because the huge screen and processor, as well as it being an android phone of course. Plus, it blows my Pre Plus out of the water.
Because this phone is AWESOME and Droid X is better than the iPhone 4. It has a fast OMAP processor, HUGE screen, THREE mics, and a bunch of other cool stuff. (also, most likely I won't get the DX from the hunt...). So, PICK ME PICK ME 
The Droid X picks up where the last Droid did. It's the best representation of the Android platform thus far. It succeeds in build quality and telephony which other "high end" devices (that shall remain nameless) tend to overlook these days. and, just by me owning it, I will single handedly create at LEAST 10 new Droid X owners just because the people who I associate with, and mingle with on Twitter tend to make purchases based on what I suggest.

The Motorola Droid X is the hottest phone of the year because of three things - its specs, its specs, its specs.
Where do I even begin? The phone, with a 1GHz processor AND a dedicated GPU blows other phones out of peoples' hands. I can imagine surfing the web, multi-tasking, and playing racing games on it will be superbly awesome. The screen in 4.3 inches! 4.3! That's sheer bliss for my fat sausage finger tips.
Then there's an FM radio tuner, which for me is a huge deal because I commute for an hour on public transportation and hate having to listen to the stupid stations buses play, or the loud music from other people's headphones. All I want to do is listen to my classic rock radio, and with the X, I'll be able to.
Photos and videos? The Droid X has it made! 720p video recording, an 8MP camera that actually takes GOOD-looking photos? Are you feeling hot? Because my hands are burning at the thought of touching this thing.
Oh, and the battery is actually capable of sustaining my needs for an entire day - That'll be a huge life-changer.
Ah, I don't know where else to go! There's Motorola's built-in apps, the shiny interface that's NOT motoblur and very cool, the ability to re-size widgets, HDMI out, battery profiles, a cover-flow-esque gallery, and a shiny and sweet keyboard!

Verizon (contrary to the networks history) finally has a competitor that is actually worth backing! With the 4.3 inch touchscreen, processor screaming at 1GHz, 8MP camera, ability to shoot 720p HD video, and much more, the Droid X defiantly marks the standard for all other devices to reach for. With this phone, I can finally retire my poor broken little Blackberry Tour and at last jump onto the Android bandwagon where I belong!

Droid X is the greatest because it is among the first cell phones that bridge the gap between computers and cell phones. You get some of the screen real estate of the computer and the portability of cell phones. All this along with the fact that it is tied to America's best network, Verizon, makes it the hottest phone of the year.
