Because its a huge screen. Because it integrates with all social networking. Because it has a faster processor than my Droid. Because I can stream videos from my computer to TV without having to buy a $100 box. It has a better camera than the EVO 4g and still does video chat with fring. And its with Verizon who is the best network and when they launch LTE in 2013, will make Sprint look like crap. Plus, I can actually make calls with it unlike some other phones. Why get anything else?
the phone is the next level up compare to the original Droid and i was a treo and blackberry user diehard after playing with the Droid and see what it has to offer and how much there is in the market to improve that being said that phone will best at its time against the competition and waiting for more room to improve and replace my original Droid with the Droid X.
thx
This phone has everything. It has push corporate email, HDMI output, DLNA, Blockbuster on demand, the Android OS, big screen, more memory, fast processor... What is there not to love. There is absolutely nothing I do not love about this phone...
I've been stuck with my windows mobile phone for some time now. Some reviewers said "get an Omnia if you can't get an iPhone." Which I did and can say an Omnia is no iPhone by far.
While I've been waiting for the iPhone on Verizon, I have been hearing a lot about how Android's really turning into a big player in the mobile market. Most recently I have been reading about Apple's closed policies not to mention the chronic problems with the iPhone 4. I've decided to forget about the iPhone and set my sights on an Android phone. I want to do what I want with my phone, not be told what I can do and how to hold it.
The Droid X is going to be one of the best Android phones out there (for at least a few months and probably the best on Verizon until the holidays). Motorola really delivering on what people want like a big screen, Swipe, and a rocking 1 GHz processor. Since I saw this phone's first leaked pictures and saw it in action on utube, I'm deadest on making this my new phone.
I want this phone, I can't buy it. Because if I do my wife will kill me and dance upon my grave. She thinks that I have the first droid, I should be happy with that......
I would love this phone. I'm desperately looking for something to replace my outdated BB Storm 1.
Android is the greatest OS out there, and Motorola is taking it to the top!
2010 is an amazing year for cell phone innovation! I'm excited to get the hottest phone with a large screen and amazing processing power!
The X screams awesome. I live in a town dominated by ATT users, I used to be able to show off my original Droid when they flashed their 3GS s, but now, with all these iPhone 4's around, I'm gonna need the bigger, badder, brother - the X. Because it does, indeed, trump the iPhone.
And, to put it simply, I'd like to rub it in some of the smug faces around here
Clearly there are the completely obvious specs that make the Droid X the best phone of the year. Large touchscreen, 1GHz processor, HD video, etc. etc. etc. These many features, as well as the amazing fact that it will be running Google's Android OS, have caught many consumers eyes (including myself).
However, I think this smartphone beast will be the best phone of the year because of it capability to change this ridiculous country's mob mentality about the iPhone. The unfortunate truth is that Apple was successful years ago in creating a very unique device that was well marketed and created a cult following. Now the Droid X with its amazing features and well played marketing will break apart that mob. This will eventually force Apple and other companies to do bigger and better things. Ultimately every consumers will benefit by competition and will be allowed with greater and more diverse choices of smartphones.
