Android Central's Free Droid X giveaway

Looking forward to upgrading myself for the big screen. Finally, the virtual keyboard keys will be as chubby as my fingers!
Over the last couple of months I've been looking at many different smart phones. My upgrade for Verizon is up the end of the month so I've been looking or an upgrade from my LG VX9400. Verizon didn't have many smart phones at the time I upgraded 2 years ago. I think the Storm was not even out yet. I was eying the Iphone since some of my friends had them. But found it to be to simple and restricting. Plus I didn't want to drop Verizon for a lesser company just for a phone I didn't really want. Then one of my friends got the original Droid. From then on I was envious. I knew that android was the OS I wanted for my smartphone.
I was watching the Incredible and noticed the Evo was a even better version. I was upset to find out that it was only going to be on Sprint. So I settled for the Incredible as my choice for my first smartphone. Not that it would be a bad thing.
Until I heard about the Droid X. It had everything I wanted from the Evo. Larger 4.3 screen. 720p video capture with a 8mp camera for amazing shots. A HDMI out to share my videos and pictures with the family. Then I realized how the Droid X was actually a better phone then the Evo. Being made by Motorola I know it will have awesome call quality. As my friends Droid sounds amazing. The build quality will be top notch. Not to mention the 3 mics to increase the quality of sound while on a call or taking video. I don't care much for the front facing camera of the Evo. As I think it will take some time for it to catch on and be fully capable of handing the load.
Needless to say I've been following the Droid X since it was announced. Checking out all the youtube videos and reading all the reviews. I want this to be my first smartphone. I'm not one of those guys who only signed up cause I found this on Google. I've been reading this site for awhile since I've been waiting to get a smartphone. Also Droid Life, BGR, and Phonedog. I'm just more of a reader then a poster.

Having been a former Blackyberry user and current Iphone user I have been itching to go Android...with all the hype here at Android central and all the YouTube vids I am phsyched.
Don't know if its the huge 4.3" screen or the all blacked out thin framed body but I am in love...looking forward to getting my contacts into the Moto widgets and using that sick keyboard with text,voice, or swype!!
This phone looks like the real deal.

This phone looks like the real deal.
I would love a Droid X because not only is Android an awesome program, even for those of us that are just your average computer user , it has the perfect screen size for those of us that love huge displays. It is also a wonderful multimedia device so once Froyo is available, a person could do just about anything, even watch their favorite tv shows aand movies.
The design is perfect for those of us that are a bit klutzy with phones, and it's designed a bit more user friendly than the Droid - no physical keyboard.
What also makes the Droid X awesome is the fact that it totally kills the fruity competion!

Why love the Motorola Droid X?
Motorola Droid X is going to be amazing. It runs smoothly and with no hiccups. I have a Blackberry Storm 1 and it is constantly locking up and I have to reboot it. I can't store any apps because it has hardly any memory to do that since you can't store them on your micro SD card. It will completely change my life and how I go about it. I read the forums and Android Central and I am hooked. I am in the US Navy and it will help me streamline a lot of things I have to do too. Something reliable and kicks butt. Can't wait.

It's like November 2009 all over again, but so much better! It's the most epic launch of an Android device in history and it launches on a reliable, fast network with great coverage! Not only does it burn through your hand with it's 1Ghz processor, but what's most important is it's 8GB of internal storage! This makes it awesome! No more worrying about app storage!
I think the Droid X will be the best phone this year because Android is the shiznit and look at the size and power behind it.........its like Mario vs. Mighty Max, there is no competition =]

Simply because it's a hell of a phone. Plus, it doesn't have the antenna issues that "other" phones have.
The Droid X is an amazing phone. it has a huggee 4.3 inch screen, which is awesomee to view videos and movies on. Its also super fast and has an 8 mega pixel camera. I reallly want this phone. oh and i forgot to mntion swype.

It's big enough for my fat thumbs to type on. Then its fast 1GHz processor means I'll be blazing through apps and multitasking like no other. And the camera takes great pictures and videos too. Hard to believe that it produces higher resolutions than my point-and-shoot.

As i purchased my Motorola Devour months ago and thought i had myself a pretty decent phone, i over heard the Verizon staff talking about a phone i had not heard of. They told me to wait a few months and a new Android phone was coming out and it was gonna be something every one will want. I could see in there faces that they all wanted it. So i found myself sitting there with my Devour, telling myself, when you get a chance to get it on the release date. GET IT. So here i am, trying to get that phone.

I believe that the Droid X by Motorola is going to be the best phone of the year because Motorola has completely stepped up they're game from the original Droid. How can any consumer pass up an 8MP camera with 720p video recording with three different microphones for enhanced audio, three different ways to type (swype, original and multi-touch), a 4.3" beautiful touchscreen to make texting and surfing the web easier, one of the thinnest designs on the market (minus the camera bump, but we'll ignore that because the rest of the phone is really thin and still looks gorgeous), a 1GHz processor, a wifi hotspot for up to five devices, DLNA support to share media with other devices, an HDMI output to watch movies on your HDTV or laptop that has an HDMI input, customizable widgets (may I remind you that the iPhone 4 does not have this
), a 16GB removable micro SD card, a removable battery (another low blow toward the iPhone), Adobe Flash and Android 2.2 which is arriving on the device sometime late Summer and last but not least, all backed by Verizon Wireless' outstanding 3G network!
Oh and did I mention that it's a DROID?
