For me the Droid X is the hottest Android phone of the year (so far) because it's the direct descendant of the phone that really make Android cool for the masses, the Motorola Droid.

Why is it not the hottest phone of the year? Look at that screen, and its specs are more than enough to handle anything you can throw at it. Once it gets 2.2, it will become the iPhone doomsday device! Plus, it will turn my eyes into cyborg vision, which would totally make me look cool.

The Droid X is the Chuck Norris (read, most kick ass) of Android phones. It has a huge screen, 1 Ghz CPU and dedicated GPU. Whats not to love? Not to mention the build quality. If it is anything like the original Droid then it will be rock solid. Oh, ant its on Verizon. So there you have it, bad ass phone + bad ass network = WIN! Please hook me up with one. I am not eligible for a new phone for 1.5 years and would rather not spend full retail cost to get one. Thanks for your consideration.

Eris is a great phone. I think it is way under-rated. I have the Evo for my personal use, but would love to get my hands on the Moto Droid X for my work phone.

I really want to check out the motoBlur, or lack there of, and also check out the battery life! I still love my EVO and will keep it regardless, but can't hurt to get something for free right? Also doesn't hurt that the 'something free' is an amazing device like my EVO.

The DROIDx is Sleek, Sexy, Fast, and Fun. The Droid x is the best phone of the year because it's elegant design, 1Ghz processor, 4.3 inch screen, and thin form factor catapult it over any of the "close" (or not so close) competition.

Evo who? The Droid X's amazing internals plus the best network in the Nation makes this the best phone all year. It will be hard to top the DroidX.
