I've had a Droid of some sort on my purchase list all year thus far (current contract ends in December). Been looking forward to developing on Android for close to a year now.

This phone looks absolutely phenomenal and I look forward to seeing it dethrone the iPhone.

Pretty obvious I will never purchase this phone. I am on the sprint network. I would however like to have this phone cause it is android and most people I know are on the Verizon network.

Why is the Droid X the hottest phone right now? It's pretty simple;
-Droid X Does have a 8mp camera (w/ flash) and 720p video recording so I can do some sexy photography.
-Droid X Does have multitouch and swype keyboards. Who needs a physical keyboard, not me I don't like them.
-Droid X Does have a high res screen.
-Droid X Does have an incredibly fast processor. Vroom vroom.
-Droid X Does have a stylish physique.
-Droid X Does have a dedicated gpu, and for a girl, I do love games. xD
-Droid X Does have battery management software for increased life; awesome for heavy users like mee.
-Droid X Does have multiple antennas, to help with low signal areas.
-Droid X Does support skype, thanks for asking.
-Droid X Does make the ladies think you have a huge winkie if its in your pants pocket. (I personally am a jacket pocket kinda gal.)
-Droid X Does get updates to 2.2.
-Droid X Does not get scratches. (gorilla glass)
-Droid X Does not tell you you're holding it wrong, ever.
And last but not least,
The Droid X WILL make all your friends jealous.

PLUS the most duh of all, it runs android.

I will be buying a Droid X come September if I dont win one here!

Im sick of fighting Apple and jailbreaking for features the phone should have to begin with,

I'm a BlackBerry user and long time BlackBerry Admin looking to finally jump ship. I've been waiting around to see what happens with Verizon devices. I've been overly disappointend with RIM's devices for Verizon and Android is where I want to go.

I held out on the Incredible and glad I did. I'm super excited about the specs, from the large screen and 1GHz processor. Hell, I don't need to pay the BB Enterprise service anymore with the Droid X, so that's almost worth all of the excitement. I travel a lot, so the built in, free Google Maps is very desirable.

Verizon has done a great job marketign the Droid wit hthe free devices and teasers given out to different people. If only I lived closer to Cleveland I'd join in on a manhunt for #12.

Finally, the last reason I'm excited about the Droid X... it will take my attention away from "LeBron this" and "LeBron that" which still is dominating Cleveland area TV. Ugh! Isn't that worthy enough? Just feeling sorry for me? LOL

Next Gen

I really think this is the beginning of powerful next gen Android phones. Big screens, powerful, 8mp camera, etc. We will be able to do more with this.

Why is Droid X the best Android phone? 1GHz CPU + Huuuge screen + froyo + cool interface from Motorola + 3 mics + HDMI + 16GB MicroSD + 8-megapixel camera...

What else do you want from a smart-phone???

I could really use this phone, because of my advance age, it would be helpful to have such a large screen. Everyone knows this phone is for us older uses to watch videos of our grand kids and such! Remember to respect your elders...

Its the hottest phone 1. because its not an Apple product, 2. its got a larger screen with 1 ghz processor and 3. its on the Verizon network! What more could you ask for! I love Verizon and I would love to own MY very own Droid without having to steal my boyfriends and play with his phone.
