With the kind of specs this phone has how can it not be the hottest phone out.it really establishes the Droid line of phones as the one to beat.iPhone who??

I am coming from the Storm 1 and am really looking forward to a much better phone. I love the screen and really am looking forward to the operation system.

the size of the phone, the screen (i like motorola screens) and thickness and the best processor on the market on the best network coverage. not to mention the impending 2.2 update, enough said. :D

I am so jealous of my wife's super-duper Droid Incredible I must have a Droid X so I may once again have the better wonderphone!

Ever since I heard and saw leaked photos about this phone, it has peaked my interest to wanting to get this phone, but since I started with Verizon this year, will have to dream though others that have this 4.3" screen, HDMI out phone.

Droid (ro)X!

The huge screen, speedy processor, added mic's and 8MP camera give it the hardware, and Android tops off the entire package with some sweet (pun intended) software! I'd love to get my hands on one... even if I'd have to give it to my wife to replace her Eris! (My Moto DROID is still alive and kicking, can't say the same for her Eris)

the Droid X is the hottest phone of the year because whenever there are Droid commercials on TV, my 2 year old son says "DROIIIIID, DROIIIIIID".... Even he knows that the Droid X is a great phone. In addition, The Droid X combines the best hardware specs for a Mobile device, with the Best OS, and is on the best network. My iPhone will become one expensive Beer Coaster when i get the Droid X!!

Well I've never won anything in my life, but its always worth a try :) . The thing that excites me most about the droid x is, of course, the processor. Finally, something that could give the snapdragon phones a run for their money. Media and gaming would also be blissful on the droid x, not that I'm coplaining about my original droid! Well, good luck to all the applicants!

I would love a Droid X to get away for my old brick phone. One arm is a lot bigger then the other because of this hugh brick phone. Love the X baby !!!!

Thats NOT a Phone anymore!!!!!!!!!!!

The Droid X is the transition device from smart phone to a USEFUL tablet device.

Because I have been a long time Blackberry user and this is the phone that is making me want to convert. Wife is pissed that I am leaving BB after getting her to jump to RIM, but I think that this phone could also convert her to Droids as well. I would love to get this phone because it has everything I could need and use and more.

Motorola X contest

I can sit here and write a hundred reasons on why the Motorola X is the best smart phone of the year, but instead I'll just make a comment. the Motorola X is NOT a glichy iphone and runs on the nations best network.

This is one of the best phones because of its all around build quality compared to other smartphones. Also the features it has 4.3 inch screen, 1ghz processor, list goes on!

Droid X is the hottest phone of the year because...

I have been dying for a massive 4.3" screen (3.7 inch is just no longer doing it for me) like the one found in this great Android phone. Because I am going to school and working full-time I need a mobile internet connected phone so I am always connected. I need a phone that can fit in my pocket, but still push the line of being a phone. I find myself using my phone a lot during the day so speed is also a big concern and that new OMAP 1 Ghz processor looks like it screams and I could really see myself taking full advantage of it. Me and my beautiful fiance are in the process of planning our wedding which has left me with the need for a device with a few demanding characterisitics:

First, I need a great camera with both the ability to take great pictures and videos without having to carry anymore devices with me everywhere I go, and 720P video with an 8MP camera, paired with a huge 4.3" screen will do the job better than just about any mobile device on the planet (yes, I know about the EVO!). Not mention Motorola graciously gives the phone 8GB internal memory and also a 16GB Micro SD card so I can store lot's of media. I need to be able to take pictures/video to document everything and I need a quick way to email and or message them to my significant other and the Android OS with Google's apps like Gmail make that easier than ever!

Second, I need great battery because if I don't have that then all these features mean nothing if it will just be dead in an hour or two. I need something to easily get me through the day, and to be honest I haven't heard a whole lot about the Droid X's battery except through your great review on AC and being that it has a 1540mAh battery that seems to be big enough to do the job (What isn't "big enough" in reguards to this phone? "BIG" seems to be the overall theme of this great Moto device, and I am loving it!)

Third, I need quality. I haven't owned a Motorola device since the RAZR, but Motorola is known for their stellar build quality, and I need to be able to not worry that if I drop my phone that I will have to quickly come up with a boat load of cash to replace it. From what I have read (and to be honest I have scanned the internet looking for news on this beast of a phone) it is sporting a gorilla glass screen which should give me at least a little piece of mind.

Fourth, I need to know that the OS is going to keep up with me and my day to day needs, and the only OS that even comes close is Google's Android OS. It has speed, customization (this is a huge one for me), ease of use, Google integration like Gmail, Listen, Voice, Calendar, Goggles, Maps, Talk YouTube, and best of all the environment of Android is open sourced. This is the biggest factor for me because it means that if I don't like something then more than likely I can take a few minutes on the XDA forums and some great Developer has come up with another solution. Developers work very hard and we all enjoy the fruits of their labor. This really extends the life of an Android phone especially when the "latest and greatest" is more than likely just a week or two away.

Fifth, I need a network that is always going to be there when I need it. Verizon (in my opinion) is the best in the nation and I need that in a smartphone cause let's face it a phone is only as good as the network that runs on it.

Overall, I could really see myself loving and using this phone for a long time to come. It has all the features that I crave in an all-in-one device and the specs on this beast of a phone should make it a major player in the Android world for some time to come. Unfortunately, because I am in college and getting married I don't have the cash to get such a great phone. That is why I have taken the time write this out to you Phil and the rest of the Android Central team begging, "PLEEEEEAAAAASSSSSSEEEEE PICK ME!!!!!!!

How about we go for hottest phone so far this year? I feel that this phone beats out the evo simply because of the network that it is attached to. Also the TI-OMAP processor does not hurt it. Oh wait forgot, the stellar battery life too. This phone is just one amazing thing after another. Now to get it rooted. Only downside of it is the locked bootloader... I plan on using my X to help further android development... You know, trying to figure out root or trying to crack the bootloader.

My name says it all, I have a GynormousMellon and now I can FINALLY get a cell phone that can make my head look "normal" when I'm making calls. No more wow, thought that phone was really small when you were on that call but now........Thank you Moto and Droid. I will no longer be looked at in a freakish manner....at least not while I'm on the phone:cool:

Droid X!

It might be the greatest phone out there. With it's large display, 8MP Camera, who-whee! This phone rocks my socks off. Intriguing as it sounds, I have never owned an Android powered device & my BlackBerry Tour is .. how might you say, STUPID.

To own the hottest piece of technology would be a privilege! :D I mean c'mon, BRAGGING RIGHTS!
"Hey Tom, look at this phone!" "OMG, that is like 1000x better than anything Apple has came up with!"

And with that OMAP processor, the X is possibly faster than any other phone right now & maybe even in the future!

So yeah @androidcentral, pick me! :D

-Nick
PS- congrats to the winner in advance!
