Where do I begin? This is by far the best phone of the year. To begin with, it is one sleek, slim, ridiculously gorgeous device. Not only does the DX have a whopping 4.3 inch screen, but it will also easily fit right into your skinny jeans, as we all have seen on the commercial. And along with it's thin, model-esque beauty, it has a very non-intrusive, handy hump on top where the camera is. Also, it doesn't hurt that this bad boy is running on the the best (by far) 3G network. I mean, has anyone seen the 3G map comparisons? (I know that this isn't a review for Verizon, but since the phone and the provider work together, it's definitely worth commenting on) Next, let's not forget that the X is running on Android's OS (currently 2.1 and soon to be 2.2!) which is by far the best OS in existence (eat your heart out i*hone, you and your very locked down, non-customizable, playing catch-up b/c of your control freak owner os) Another very exciting fact about this beast, is that is has a new version of Blur that no one who is doing reviews is complaining about! Gotta love that. And it doesn't hurt that the DX has an 8MP camera. And how about that 720p video capturing? And how about the HDMI output? How about the multi-touch keyboard? Getting the point? None the less, let's keep going while we're on a roll, shall we?!?!? Another great quality of this phone, is that it is made by Motorola. One thing about Moto, the physical durability of their devices is very reliable. Also, let me mention that their are four physical buttons bottom, front of the device. What is the advantage of that? Well, with physical buttons, as opposed to haptic feedback, touch buttons, you won't have to worry about constantly accidentally hitting buttons while simply trying to hold your device while doing tasks such as browsing or reading. Needless to say, this phone is very exciting, and makes the future of Android look very, very exciting. I want one. You want one. As a matter of fact, everybody who gets a good look at this device will want one, and rightly so.

A friend of mine has been unhappy with his Droid Eris, mainly because the screen is too small for him to comfortably use the on-screen keyboard. If I win the DroidX, I'm going to do the right thing and give it to him - he won't have any trouble typing on the huge 4.3" screen of the Droid X. Why would I give such an awesome phone away? It's worth more to me to see him happy; it'll totally increase my cosmic karma points; and mainly because I'm tired of listening to him try to use the voice search. Pick me, AndroidCentral, and help me help my friend!

The DroidX is a Beast!

I think all of its hardware specs especially the TI-OMAP processor make the DX a true contender for king of the smartphone heap along with the Evo4G. It is definitely the best Verizon will have to offer unless you prefer a hardware keyboard or a smaller screen (I don't!). Once Froyo is unleashed for it, the DX will truly be a BEAST of a phone!

It's the right phone for me, at exactly the right moment. After 2 long years, my iPhone 3g contract with AT&T ends on 7/15, and I think the time coincidence is a very good omen. I can't wait for Android, Verizon and the glorious, big X.

I was wrong!!!

I have a confession......... I left android for "another operating system", thinking that was what I wanted, but I WAS WRONG! I took it back a week later and returned to ANDROID! I think the best part of this phone is the screen size!!!! I have large hands and could use a large screen keyboard! When i saw the demo at best buy I fell in love with the over all feel of it......it was a perfect fit! Oh, and I love the 3G hotspot option! I need this phone!

First of all, the phone is a beast (in many ways). It's just plain huge. This may not appeal to some because of its size, but most will love the extra large screen. It has a beastly processor. The 1ghz TI OMAP might share the same clock speed as some other phones, but it has the might to pull away from the pack. It will be even more beastly once it has some frozen yogurt coursing through its veins. The hdmi port is also a nice touch that allows you to easily share those hd videos you took via the 8mp video camera. The camera also takes extremely nice stills. Maybe they should have just called it the Droid Beast or at the very least the Droid Best. The iPhone 4 cowers at just the sight of the Droid X's Shadow!

The droid x has a massive touchscreen, 1ghz processor, new motoblur skin, verizon service, and has great multimedia such as blockbuster app. I need android and can not stand blackberry os 5.0 it stanks.

The Droid X is simply the best smartphone out there. Boasting a huge 4.3in display and 1ghz processor along with its browsing speed, it is an amazing smartphone.

Everyone knows that specs, screen and service set this phone apart from its competitors. But what really sets it apart? The "X". It's a letter AND a number (Roman Numeral 10). A necessary part of any tic tac toe game (there's an APP for that). Throw in another X and you have a lovely Mexican beer in numerous flavors (Google search Dos Equis right from your phone for more info, add a third X for even more adult fun). X's at the end of a letter are the same as Kisses, or Hugs depending on who you talk to. Got a treasure map? Want to find out where the treasure is? It's right there under the X (shovel not included). Finally, if you want to negate something you cross it out with a big X which is exactly what Motorola did. The Droid X from Motorola has X'd out the competition.

I'm loving this device for all the reasons stated by others but also the reason I want this phone more so than any other phone right now is that it takes everything one step and sometimes even two steps further. Little things like the magnifying glass( a la iPhone) all the way to the panoramic camera abilities make me lust to have this baby in my hands. I find myslef having dreams another this freaking phone and I have to constantly talk myself down that its just that "A PHONE" but to me its way more than that. You see I have been on Verizon for 8 years waiting and waiting for an uber exciting phone to hit and it wasn't until the Droid that that came to reality and now the DX is taking it to a whole new level really my excitement for this phone cannot be described in text I would have to. Show you. Things like the battery saver feature is just icing on the cake I mean Motorola hit it out the ballpark with this baby and I would love to have this phone and would be truly honored to win it from you guys. I know everyone's reading this thinking relax its a phone something new will come out in a few months but really there will not be a phone that offers every exact feature the DX has it may have some but I'd almost guarantee little things like multi-input keyboard or 8GB on board storage or camera features including multi shot will all be over looked to some extent on future phones. Please let me win this phone is all I can say lol
