This phone is an absolute beast. Being made by motorola you can be sure to say it will be getting the latest and greatest android OS updates well before HTC can update their phones with sense UI built. I would definitely say this phone will hold its own, until the Lte verizon phones start rolling out.

I want this phone because it's got 4.3 inches of dead sexy. Seriously, if it had a ****** I would leave my wife.
I think the droid x is going to be great, because its on verizon and it's comes with a lot of power. I'm a former iPhone owner until I got the backflip which I like a lot. I think the droid will blow me away. I was like that iPhone bear "I want an iPhone 4" blind.
This phone is definitely one of the nicest android phones to hit the market. Up to this point, I have used mainly HTC phones (Eris and Incredible) and have been happy with them. I originally started on the Moto Droid, but didn't like the keyboard and added bulk it added. The large screen and lack of keyboard of the X will be a perfect fit for me. Plus it will be nice to have the excellent call quality that Moto is known for. Can't wait, bring on the "X"!

This is going to be the "Hit" phone of the year. Amazing speed, Android platform, HUGE screen, and 720p video capture makes this more then just a phone. This thing can replace many other devices that i use.

1GB Processor, PowerVR SGX530, HDMI out, 7 home screens, new widgets, resizing and swapping of apps/widgets on home screens, and so much more. I love that the screen is larger. Although it doesn't have Android 2.2 (Froyo), I can just imagine what this phone would be with it. I'm excited!
I've had the Blackberry Storm 1 9530 since it first came out and I need to upgrade to a beautiful touch screen phone that won't constantly require me to pull the battery!
There are many reasons this is the phone of the year the specs scream many things movies, gaming, quality photos, etc. But I think this is the phone of the year for a different reason. I think this phone could be a big winner with business users, especially ones that travel. They can watch a movie or play a game on that long plane trip to their business meeting. When the plane lands they can use the updated exchange support to check work emails that they missed while in the air, or while in the air if their plane has wifi. They can then send a high quality picture of the big tourist attraction that they got to see home to their family. Set the alarm to wake them up in time for the meeting. And then once it is time for them to give their presentation at that meeting they can use the HDMI output to connect to a projector and show their presentation.
Many people are excited for the gaming possibilities, but I am more looking forward to the business possibilities this is going to have.

I went to Best Buy today with my boss. I didn't think they'd have a working Droid X there, and they didn't. He saw a dummy model of an Evo and was taken back by the big screen. I asked the salesman if they had a working demo there. He went and got one and my boss checked it out. He was blown away by the widgets, the browser and the layout. I told him that the X would have a taller, yet thinner screen. I told him the differences of the phones and again, he was impressed.
Going back to the office, all he was talking about was how nice of a phone that Evo was. We have our service through USCC, so he was trying to figure out ways to get either the Evo or the X as a work phone. He was also talking about dumping his current provider and getting the X.
I say all this because the X can have a significant impact on people who are looking at a smart phone, have one and want something different, and even iPhone users like my boss. Getting one for free would be awesome!

It's clear this is the best phone since iphone first released. So much so that I say VZW customers won't even purchase the iphone should it come out for verizon because the DROID X would be that much better. Did I mentioned it has a Huge screen, super-fast processor, a stand-out 8mp camera and on all running the AMAZING Android operating system.
