One reason it's the hottest phone was because I spent an hour chasing @DroidLanding clues all over downtown Nashville to get an x - only to be beat out by 2 minutes. Other than sweating my face off for this hotness, the huge screen, 1 gig processor, and new moto make this the phone to have! Please, please can I have one.

It would be a vast upgrade.

I'm not claiming that I deserve such a nice phone, but I would definitely find it a vast upgrade from my current Tracfone. I'm a big fan of the "Android movement" and have always wanted to own an Android device and to, one day, develop apps for it. The only thing preventing me from doing this has been the cost. As a Computer Science/Graphic Design college student (paying his own way), I simply can't afford to splurge on both a smartphone and the 2 year contract that comes with it. I believe that by winning the Droid X, I will not only be able to better manage my life as a student, but will also be able to explore my creative side and perhaps, one day, create several apps that people will find useful.

this is the epitomy of a smartphone!! sleek desin with huge power!! i thought i was in love with the evo when it came out, i was jealous of my friends who had it. but this will be the frontrunner in the smartphone world when it drops, bar none. i wish i had it for the world cup, every day at work i watched the games on my droid, and dont get me wrong, it was nice, but being able to view movies and tv shows on a 4.3'' screen!! thats simply amazing. i would love nothing more than to be able to dock this beauty next to my pc at work and stream live content. since i became a smartphone user, i have basicallly rendered my laptop and desktop at home useless. im always on my droid and definitely get my moneys worth out of the product. i was in line at 6am for the droid release. luckily i was due for an upgrade and was able to purchase it at the discount rate. im not quite there for the X, its a bit too expensive for me to purchase retail, but that doesnt make me want this beast of a phone any less!! i would be willing to donate my droid and all to a member or moderator of the forum for testing or for a hard luck case that had an unfortunate incident with their droid and cant afford a new one!! that would be the least i could do for opportunity to have a droid X of my own!!!

Gotta give it props for the camera features. I like the ease of taking pictures, switching scenes and filters, and the light switch on the video app. Camcorder quality seems pretty nice as well..should be hot!

Why the droid is hot

Droid X is hot because it has a nice big MM screen, super fast CPU and better camera. I followed the marketing from Day one to win one in the droidslanding contest, only to come up seconds short of claiming this beloved prize. I waited for hours to have a chance at winning this phone, this contest is much easier.

I know my chances aren't good, but I had to try! I'm stuck with an old iPhone 3G running iOS 4 (I downloaded the gold master before everyone knew it was buggy and terrible) and hate it! I don't know if it's the 8MP camera, the 1GHz processor or the perfect-for-video 4.3" 16x9 screen that I'm looking forward to most about the X. I just hope I'm lucky enough to get one gratis!

Not only with the HD recording be a thing of beauty, but the size of the screen to watch any movies or shows will be amazing.Nothing like kicking back at work on a Sunday and being able to watch NFL RedZone on that kind of screen. Blockbuster movies and my sons baseball games all on my little HD tv.Not a bad way to use a phone!
