I was doing some research on power consumption as it relates to dark verses light backgrounds on LCD technology and decided to do a test. i ran a dark "Loyd" background (black with a green Loyd) for several days keeping track of display usage. Then i created a light version of the same graphic. The first thing i noticed on my Tbolt's screen was the wallpaper at the same setting (showing two bars on the brightness widget) was way to bright. So i backed it down to where the screen seemed nice and useable. The jury is still out but the power consumption indicator went from an average of 60% display usage down to 30% and as low as ~20% one day. Battery is showing about 10% more power left at day's end on average with lighter wallpaper.

Still experimenting, it's been fun.

not 100% sure, just got my XOOM two days ago, but from the info i could find seems like 1920 x 1408. I'm surprised we don't have a tablet wallpaper section here on AC.
