Android or Samsung Pay?

Yes, I HAVE tested it, and I have redone my fingerprints. Having the scanner on the back simply doesn't work well for me. I used Samsung Pay four times yesterday, and the fingerprint reader failed each time -- it's just not convenient under the circumstances of trying to pay.

The iris scanner works OK if you're sitting still, in the right light, and not wearing glasses. Yesterday, it worked only once, when I whipped off my sunglasses and held the phone in front of my face. Again, not a great solution.

This phone's design is a real step backward for those of us who use SP a lot.

Every were but gas pumps for your own safety

You can use them at gas pumps. At many pumps, you can fake the card reader into thinking you've inserted a card by inserting your license as you hold the phone near the card reader.

Exxon/Mobil also now has a Speedpass+ app with Samsung Pay integrated. You pull up, open the app, enter your app number (the app figures out what station your're in), activate Samsung pay from the app, and pump. You can get a receipt via email, on paper at the pump, or both.

SP was one of the main factors for me coming back to Android/Sammy!!!!

I just got my cards all setup and will be trying them out this weekend! Can't wait.

Thanks guys.
Check your gift cards I got a $5 Dunkin Donuts for each bank card I loaded, actually just one card but on my phone and watch so I got two gift cards

Maybe for some it is but I've used it with the 8+ pretty much daily since the 19th when I received it. The only time it didn't work was earlier today at the mobile get clinic. Their tablet card reader was rather flimsy. I love the phone and use Samsung Pay all the time

Was at the mall today

Used Samsung Pay for the first time since turning in my 2nd Note 7 and OMG I didn't realize how much I missed using it.

Did quite some shopping since it was used at Sephora, Banana Republic, Nordstrom's, Victoria Secret's and Wetzel Pretzels........ not necessarily in that order

Do you have favorite cards set and if so, do you see the white tab on the bottom of the screen? I'm seeing nothing on any screen.

Okay, never mind. I had assumed, since my old cards were brought forward, that they would also still be "favorites". Doh. Once I reset them the tab is there.

So, a little update.

I was able to use SP at Nob Hill and Costco and was amazed at how easy and good it worked! I also entered my membership card(s) into SP but the manager at Costco said I needed my physical card?

Also, I have Rabobank as my bank and no support? Is there a work around for this?

I never found one for my credit union. I bugged them until they added their Visa cards, now have both CC and debit working.
Ya man. I haven't figured anything yet. I am new to SP and will try and figure something out.

No if your bank card isn't allowing Samsung Pay then it won't work. What card were you successfully using

I successfully added my Citi (Costco), Amex, and other Visa cards.

I'd really like to use my Rabobank cards but I guess I can just use the CC for the points, then pay off the balances? Not a terrible idea I guess lol.

I have a similar issue, my credit union card will not work with Samsung Pay (or Android Pay for that matter). Luckily I have a Visa and a MasterCard that do work with it. Used it today at BB.

That'll work:) Samsung Pay is adding new banks all the time so here's hoping yours is on the list soon

I tried Samsung Pay yesterday at the grocery store and LOVE IT! It took longer to get it ready and to actually used it, my wife was standing there asking "did it take it", I said "Yes, it was that quick."

I have been using Samsung Pay and loving it. I use the iris scan for Samsung Pay and it is so fast!

Does anyone know if you can enter your debit pin in at the cc terminal? In the past entering your bank pin did not work.

I've been using Android Pay which I liked more than Samsung because you wouldn't have to open the app to use it, just unlock your phone and place it against the reader. After reading this thread though and realizing the perks/points associated with Samsung, I'm trying this out now.

I did use it earlier at the grocery store and got nervous when it didn't work at first and could tell the people behind me were annoyed but it worked the second time.

Not a 100% but SP uses a virtual card so I dought it
I've gotten cash back tons of times using Samsung Pay. Most terminals ask credit or debit, then hit debit and enter pin for cashback. I enter my atm pin
