Android OS names after Icecream?

Here is my two cents. When I have multiple options I put my favorites in bold.

J- Jelly roll (I kind of like it better than Jelly bean, I think it would make a better statue)
K- Kiwi
L - Licorice, Lemon drop, Lemon meringue
M - marshmallow, mint
N - Nectar?
O - Oatmeal, Orange
P - Peppermint (probaby stay away from nuts like Peanut and Pecan due to so many people having allergies. You know how big companies try not to inadvertently offend people)
Q - Quiche? (seriously, what dessert starts with Q?)
R - Raisin, Raspberry, Rhubarb, Rice Pudding, Rocky Road
S - Souffle, Scone, S'Mores, (Sorbet probably too close to FroYo)
T - Tart, Tiramisu, Toffee, Truffle
U - Upside down cake? (I don't think anybody would go for their product being called "upside down")
V - Vanilla or Vanilla Bean,
W - Waffle, Walnut, Whipped Cream
X - I have no idea. All I could think of was XMas and there is no way they'd go with that
Y - Yogurt, Yellow Cake (Yogurt is probably too close to FroYo, but Yellow cake is lame)
Z - Zest or Zesty?

I *never* want to have to tell someone at the bar that I just installed the new "Snickerdoodles" version of Android.

yea....i second that!! +1 lol

"Hey guys! I just installed the new Android Snickerdoodle!!" -- :-[

"Hey guys! I just installed the new Android S'mores!!" --
^^^ also flows better lol ^^^

T - Tart, Tiramisu, Toffee, Truffle

::in a Homer Simpson voice:: "mmmmm toffee.....mmmmmm truffle"

Haven't the names, at least on occasion, also reflected the release date? Froyo (and possibly Ice Cream ___) in summer, Gingerbread in the winter?

So what name they use may depend in part on whether they really shift to annual updates or stick to their biannual update schedule.

I think those are just coincidences. There isn't much else you can use for f, g, and i.

Fudge? Gumdrop? I admit "i" is tight, but the others had multiple options. But you may be right that it's a coincidence.

I think fudge would have led to more f word jokes than google was willing to put up with, and gumdrop is related to gingerbread (see: shrek lol).

Since each version is named after a desert or something sweet, lets go down the alphabet and help Google out:

Category:Desserts - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

j-jellybean, Jackfruit
k-kettle corn, karamel (who says you have to spell it correct?)
l- lolipop, licorice
m-marshmallow, Mousse
n- nougat
o- orange (not much I can think of for O)
p-pudding, papaya
q- (they will probably skip this letter)
r-rice crispy, rava cake, red velvet,
s-s'more, snickerdoodle (not sure if that is copyrighted)
t-taffey, tiramisu
u-
v- Vanilla _________ (fill in the blank)
w-wafer

That's all I got for it some letters will probably have to be skipped then it will be time for another naming scheme

just a quick list off the top of the head

I don't know, but I'm thinking that q might be Quesadilla. I know that that is always yummy. I'm just hoping that they get creative and have fun with the rest of the words.
