I've got a Moto E (1st gen) that came with Android 4.4.4, StraightTalk is my carrier. Last year they put out an update to Android 5.1 but I never got this update, and when I check for updates it says there are none available. Predictably, none of the companies are helping me.
Motorola says:
StraightTalk says:
Google doesn't even give me an option to call or chat with them, they just say:
So Motorola sends me to StraightTalk, StraightTalk sends me to Google, Google sends me to Motorola. Can anyone out there help me before I flush this phone down the toilet?
Motorola says:
Motorola has released updates to all the carrier. The update will be released from carrier end. I suggest you to contact the carrier.
StraightTalk says:
Please be informed that we cannot manually release the the software update on Android phones to change the version. We do not have the tool to do it. Please be advised that Android phones are powered by Google. Software updates come from them.
Google doesn't even give me an option to call or chat with them, they just say:
To get support for other Android devices, visit your manufacturer's support site.
So Motorola sends me to StraightTalk, StraightTalk sends me to Google, Google sends me to Motorola. Can anyone out there help me before I flush this phone down the toilet?
