Alright, so i have the Evo... and I've made a decision that the next phone i'm getting is going to be an Android phone(Of course) but it has to have a physical keyboard.

I don't get to upgrade until june 2011 so i have some time to wait and see what comes out.

But what i'm wondering... is do phones with physical keyboards have autocorrect?

so.. if i'm typing on the physical keyboard and i miss spell something that a normal touch keyboard would fix...

does the physical keyboard have auto correct?

thanks.

bump... anyone have an answer?

Don't know about all of them but I haven't seen any that do it natively. My Epic doesn't.

There are keyboard apps such as Smarter Keyboard Pro for which autosuggestion can be turned on for the physical keyboard.

This is just what I've read on other board, not based on personal experience.

Auto correct is a feature of the smartphone, not the touchscreen or keyboard. so yeah an Android phone with a keyboard will/should have auto correct.

Smart Keyboard will do it. But I have to tell you that I insisted on a physical keyboard, coming from Palm world, and I'm an accountant working on spreadsheets, so you need real keys and a cursor pad.

But with Smart Keyboard, I never open it anymore! I'm done with physical keyboards, which are very clunky and more trouble, actually, when you have a really good onscreen one. Smart's developer, at our request, came up with a true numeric keypad! that is NOT a phone pad (they're upside down) with a cursor pad next to it! It's Heaven. Now, when I get to upgrade, I can go with a sleeker phone.
