If we leave the beta will it factory reset?
I have a Pixel 2 that was on the beta program. I live in Mexico, have Telcel as a service provider and got the Android 9 Pie update. I restarted my phone and no longer get the beta splash screen.
If we leave the beta will it factory reset?

It's ... different.
It will definitely have to grow on me .. The clock ... app switcher .. the colors ...
Will take some getting used to ..
Pixel 2
P beta
Project Fi
Still no update (so much for being updated 1st)
Some have said removing SIM, rebooting, and then checking while on wifi worked for them.
Doesn't work since it will know the last registered network, for example my phone was using TMobile sim and I have been using the iPhone X as daily driver for few days now. Today even though mine was on WiFi without any sim, reboot, check for update nothing worked until I put in an AT&T sim and checked for update.
The gestures are terrible. And Android P UI has taken a step back from O.
I have been playing with Android P official release for the first time today and while we will be forced to get used to it, I do not like it. It feels like a beta product to me and has broken a lot of apps (developers will have to update). Took me a lot of research just to get my fibit to be recognized by the bluetooth. The design just feels very...cartoony to me. Does that make sense?
I believe if you had removed the SIM and performed an FDR it would have but that's a bit drastic.

Well that's a lot of work. Do I have to stand on my head or do a dance too? Some have said removing SIM, rebooting, and then checking while on wifi worked for them.

So I will say that DP4 seemed more stable to me than DP5 and the battery didn't seem as good on DP5 either. Can't say that I've experienced what you described and I've been on the beta.
