Android S6 Edge. Screen is black with blinking blue light. How can I fix it?

Holy ****. For the sake of others i literally made an account just to post this, i might have found a solution.

If you were repairing your note 4 and you popped out the motherboard from the lcd screen, put everything back together. Do not put the final back plate back on. Lightly press on the heartbeat sensor/flashlight on the rear of the phone until you hear a click. Boom, some of you just saved $400 from the repairshop. Will fix the black screen of death if you were replacing/repairing your phone and the phone refused to boot.

Hi,

So my S6 fell on the floor this morning and, from a phone that was ok, now has the black screen and blue flashing light

I've tried holding the power and down volume buttons for 20 secs. At first attempt the blue light went off but then, upon powering up, it came back on.

Now I can't get it to reset using this method at all - the blue light is just flashing at me.

I've also tried holding all the buttons down for 20 secs but again nothing.

Short of taking it to EE for repair could someone please offer any other advice?

This Blue Light has been annoying me for some time. I pressed both Volume and turning the phone of and it actually worked. Thank you kindly!

Same thing happens to me. Happens every so often actually (maybe once 1-2 times week). Black screen with blinking blue light and no buttons respond. Anyone might know what's wrong and if there is a fix?

When this happens, I restart by pressing down all buttons - volume up, volume down, home, and power - then it restarts and works again.

To my s6 does not worked

I'm having the same symptoms after dropping my phone.
I've tried the above troubleshooting but no luck.
I'm now unable to back up my phone because I can't touch the screen. I'm about to lose everything I've ever known forever. Any other ideas? Please help!

Thanks so much. Pressed the power key and down button volume control together and the phone started immediately. Went to a phone repair shop prior to checking this thread and good thing he didnt open the phone. Thanks to u, guys! You saved my phone from extinction!

Screen is black with a blue light flashing every 5 seconds? I plugged it in but no difference. Worked fine last night. What. Could be the cause?

Possibilty:
I turn my phone off every time to charge. I also run my battery down to almost nothing. It seems to have longer life and functions better. A phone is similar to a computer where you have to restart it.

So this time, at my husband's request, I left it on, put on the wireless charger, and received a call that I did not answer, looked at my phone on the morning and
- whaalaa -
There's a blank screen and a blue flashing light. The volume down bottom and power button worked to turn it BACK on. When it powered up, it showed a missed call and a battery life of only 69% (after being on charger all night).

My thought is all components together freaked it out - overload.

I will go back to shutting down at night to charge.

Welcome to Android Central!

Try holding the power button and volume down button until the phone turns off. Try powering it back up and see what happens.

what does it mean if your phone turns on but you get no display but it vibrates and calls and the notification light goes from blue to light blue

Have you found a solution to it. i have a smilar problem. my screen is off like a tv tuned off but functions properly. even touch screen working since i can pick calls but no display on phone. i have tried the volume keys trick. it restarts n reboots alright but no display still i only hear the sounds..

Hey... I tried rebooting as well.. and it has the same results as you had. Wondering if you found a solution.. any suggestions on what to do??
