Tried using Barnacle and Android Tether. Not sure why it is not working.

I can broadcast the signal, but no device picks it up.

I use the newest beta of wifi tether and it works fine on cm9.

Im also using the beta wifi tether
wifi_tether_v3_1-beta11.apk - android-wifi-tether - WiFi Tether for Root Users 3.1-beta11 *** BETA *** - Wireless Tether for Root Users - Google Project Hosting

For some reason. I can broadcast (the device says its broadcasting), but i cant get any devices to connect to it. I have already determined that there is nothing wrong with my phone.

I flashed back to stock and was able to run it on rooted EI30. Then I flashed back to CM9 ICS Alpha 3. So far no success in getting any connections. Not sure what else to do. Wifi tether was working not too long ago, but not anymore.

I'm not sure what your Settings are in your wifi tether (Encryption, Passphrase, SSID, etc.).
But, did you activate the "Access Control"? If so, you need to open it after the connection is established. Checkmark the device and Enable.

Did you set it to Epic under settings?

Also, how did you determine there is "nothing wrong with your phone". What I mean is, can you post what processes you used to determine that?

I appreciate everyone's response. I will need to look deeper into this to pinpoint the exact reason. Not a big deal, I just like to carry all my devices (Laptop, Tablet, PS VITA, Epic 4G) around with me and my epic give me that internet connection.

I decided to just re-flash CM9 Alpha 3 again. I installed the wifi tether and I still can not get any devices to connect. Is there anyway i can check to see if my signal is even broadcasting.

Also I know there cant be any problem with my phone, because when I was on rooted EI30 I could broadcast signal.

rraman3110, when you open the wi-fi tether application do not tap on it to start tethering before enabling WiFi encryption, Change Passphrase and Change SSID. After you set all that you need to click on Menu > Access Control, and click on the Enable button on the top-right. This should give you access to the tethering.

I have to tell you it's been really stable with Alpha 3. No disconnects or anything of that sort.

Let me know if this information helped.
