Android Wear 2.0 - Anyone Receive the Update Yet?

It sounds like the slow boat from China may be pulling into port. Something of an update for H Watch owners.

All the complaining and disappointment about the delays in getting the update aside. I would rather have the update go smoothly than go through the head aches of a bug riddled release.

Hopefully it is coming any day now. :)

Still waiting for my LG Watch Urbane. Some have gotten it already for this watch...nothing on my end yet...

Now if I could only find a watch face that I like and works properly, my favourite used to be the stock Red face, but for some reason it doesn't show me notifications, the messages are there if I swipe up but I dont always feel it vibrate when I'm busy.

I reported a while ago that I saw a report that the original Huawei Watch had NFC. I dismissed it as unlikely because it came from a pretty unreliable source. Recently however, I have seen two conflicting reports on this.
It's in
It's out

Note that the (it does NOT have NFC statement came out after the one that said it has it).
I am about 25/75 on the hardware having the capability and about 20/80 that Huawei will not turn it on. That pretty much boils down to my gut feeling that there is maybe about a 5% ( .25 * .2 = .05 ) chance this or a future update contains NFC.
One reason to be slightly optimistic is the long delay for the release. There must be more to this than just the bug. (But then again, maybe not)

So there you have it.

If it does have NFC and they get it turned on I think Huawei will be getting a huge loyalty boost by HW owners.
If it does not, well, it looks like we are back to the slow boat from China story. :)

I'm at the point to where I don't care anymore.... my anticipation is gone. if I get the update on my huawei watch? I get it.. if not?...then not.

For the most part, I like AW 2.0 but it seems to be slow on my LG Watch Urbane. Opening up messages takes 5-15 second. :(

Wow...that is really poor performance. Makes me think I need to have a roll back strategy if the Huawei update ever gets here.

Did you restart your watch after the install? I ran the developer preview on my Huawei Watch and after a restart it ran as well as AW 1.5, if not better.
If a restart doesn't fix it, a reset may be needed.

Also, after the install it may take a day or two to "settle down".

Yes...I did a factory reset after the upgrade...and I've been patient...messaging is just so slow to open...that said, I did see that it updated today, so will see how it goes from here.

Status update for 4/12... Moto 360 Gen 2, LG V10-MM.

Same as before. AW downloads and installs fine. I have full access to my apps via my watch over bluetooth. Except I do not receive any incomming notifications from google messages or google mail.

At least AW on my my phone is no longer consuming battery like crazy.

This really sucks... Google either revert us back to a fully functional 1.5 or push a fully functional 2.0!!! But DONT LEAVE US STUCK WITH NEITHER!!!

You have a 2nd Gen Moto 360, correct?
I didn't think 2.0 was being sent out to the 360 yet.
