Android Wear 2.0 on the ZenWatch 2

I found it! I had to go through the settings on the watch itself and pick and choose. Love this watch. Got mine on a Amazon warehouse deal like new in box for well under $100! I'm stoked. The other smart watch I owned but didn't care for was the Moto 360 2nd gen. I didn't keep it long. I'm going to mess around with some metal bracelets and will throw some pics up of each. For now I'm sporting my Red rubber strap.

Last night. Notifications seem to not be working. Still testing.

Update: Notifications from Android Messages, Hangouts and Facebook Mgr are working, as is calendar reminders. Not receiving Gmail notifications or notifications from TypeApp, my email client.

TypeApp is working now. I rebooted my phone and that appeared to straighten in out. Still not getting anything from Gmail.

Did you try clearing the cache in zenwatch app and android wear app? That's all I did and everything works. Never had to reset or anything. Getting all my notifications. Really hate there is no ultra brightness shortcut nor triple press on button to get brightness to max.

Do you have the large size ZW 2 or the small? I've checked a few times today and still have no update
I have the large sparrow. Got updated last night. Don't be overanxious. 1.5 seemed much more refined.

I'm still downloading and it says stay hooked up to charger. It's a lot like watching grass grow lol. Very very little movement but I'm about 75 percent there. I'm thinking sometime tomorrow lol.
Mine took about 40 minutes.

Okay I've got 2.0 now but I've lost the part where I can show my battery life, weather and phone battery life on my face. How do I find those options again?
Longpress on the watch face or swipe to a different watch face. Hit the settings icon under the watchface. Click on "data" Click on the spaces where "complications" (battert %etc) go. List comes up. Got to zenwatch at the bottom. Options you want are there. You have to do it on the watch instead of the phone. Much easier in 1.5

Not a single thing that I like better or works better in 2.0 1.5 should be the update to 2.0 instead of the other way around. Much easier to do settings changes or downloads in big phone screen than tiny watch screen. Nothing in the watch playstore appealed to me. God knows where my contact list is in 2.0 not that I want to make phone calls from the watch anyway.

All this time waiting on 2.0 and it be worse than 1.0 is crazy. It seems more refined from the little I played with 1.5 to 2.0 yesterday. I can't comment much bc I didn't get enough time on the old software though.

I started this thread 5 months and 17 days ago to learn about 2.0 which seemed imminent. Today I finally got 2.0 on my ZW2. I had to use the trick where you keep clicking on the green 'System is up to date' screen until it forced an update. So far things seem OK.

Like I said elsewhere, this has made my ZW 2 so much faster and responsive. Wrist flicks to wake etc are lightning fast and far more reliable. I like the new notification preview a lot better too after setting it to HIGH. The little keyboard is surprising accurate for swipe typing and the draw keyboard is great too after you install it. It's basically the same as the Apple Watch one. Battery life has been much the same as 1.5 for me now I've used it nearly a day. I've lost count of how many times I've tried to open the apps by swiping left like before and changed my watch face instead but that's something to get used to. Like I also said elsewhere the only thing I'm not really liking on 2.0 is that I can't use wrist gestures to expand notifications or flick my watch down toward the floor to Select/OK and click on items unless I'm missing something?

Yes sir I did. Also unpaired and paired. Everything but Gmail is working notification wise. Thanks for the feed back.

Was surprised how accurate that little keyboard is. Nice feature.

I find the contacts listed with the installed apps. Wake up the watch, hit the button and scroll down to contacts. Though I'm sure you found it by now.

What's the draw keyboard. I'm having a tough time signing in to my Amazon account from using the tiny keyboard. Is there a better keyboard out there? I downloaded web browser which took forever but I wanted to get online like Amazon and Google.
