Android won't boot up fully

Hope someone able to give me some information here please!
Christmas brought my daughter a Android 4.0 cpu arm cortex A8 1ghz 1,5ghz
This android has gone down boots to android on screen only, I was told that it requires flashing! I have know idea, So basic I am asking is there a software I can load to my pc or memo stick
direct it to the android! to get up and working again. ?

Anyone able to help please.. thanks in advance.

Welcome to Android Central! you may have some difficulty finding help on this device since it is not a common device with little to know developer support to be found. Where did you receive the advice on flashing the device? this is a 7" tablet device correct? have you tried to do a factory reset?

Thanks for quick reply yes it is a 7" tablet hmmm reset ? apparently daughter downloaded stuff or something and it crashed all i get from her is riddles lol I believe she download software now needs fixing !! how do reset?

I have no idea sorry all it says on booklet its a android 4.0 tells me all specs on it thats about it, nothing about factory reset at all. Looked all over place for a reset button not found, So I am at a loss

Is there no model numbers or any information on what brand the device is?

ram 512 -1gb optional rom nand flash 4gb lcd 7" touch pad 2d 3d amd graphic acceleration graphic open gl es2/amd z34 and open vg1 1 amd z160 @ 27m tri/sec wifi 802 11b/g built in 3g tf expansion usb vpu gravity built in 3d audio ac97

This is tough without knowing the model. Is the battery removable or is it one solid device

Don't be sorry lol you didn't do anything wrong. ...ill see what I can find but I will be Surprised if I find much info on this device
