Angler possibly leaked?

Held accountable? A bit harsh I would say, given these early prognosticators are passing on from a reliable source (wink, nod, blink blink) to take any of them as the real deal is at your own risk. The fact that one or the other has guessed right more than the others is either luck, good investigation or data mining nothing more. No one has an inside in all multinational companies some are better at reading the tea leaves is all. Unfortunately we must wait for the finished product as mere consumers. They are in the final stages somewhere hopefully soon to arrive.

I agree with that to a certain extent. I think it's a fair assessment.

Where I have an issue with Evan though is his unprofessionalism and child like antics he constantly exhibits. He's the first one to pat himself on the back when he's right, but quickly distances himself from his own leak when he's off on a story.

And lately, he's spending more time acting like a 2 year old and harassing OnLeaks than providing information.

All that said, trust me, I'm not taking any of this seriously even though it probably come across like I am. This is purely for entertainment and I'm patiently waiting for them to make the official announcement like everyone else!

What
Standby time while the phone is on a flat surface (while you are sleeping etc...) is greatly improved in Marshmallow due to Doze. I can attest to this when I had it installed on my Nexus 6.

So far we have to wait and see when marshmallow until will have see what results are from reviewers who will test battery life in the final version 6.0.

I haven't found any reliable sources that contest to 6.0 significantly battery life in real world terms.

Those that contest the standby time is better do a test between lollipop and Marshmallow by doing standby test if 48 hours. They see that Nexus 5(lollipop) at 48 hours loses about 24% battery life where the other Nexus 5 (marshmallow loses 9%).
This doesn't reflect a average user use.

The test does not answer question as simple how long does it take doze to put apps in a deep sleep and furthermore what wakes the apps out of deep sleep.

Doze might be case that average users use may never allow their device to go into deep sleep leaving you with typical lollipop battery performance.

Doze battery life might be just like those that have a Moto X (2013). Some user got great battery life because they would just use moto active display which turn limit there use opening the device open which would tax the battery. On the other hand may user the moto active display did little deter user from using phone like normal and they get average battery life. MKHD on YouTube contest to that issue on Moto X.

Doze sounds great in theory but like Moto active display what will it be like in practical use is the real question.

These are photos of the P8, which are similar in design to the Nexus. Looking at these, especially in hand, it's obvious to me that the leaked images we've seen are indeed schematic models, and not the final product.

Just FYI, my guess is that the leaked image that we all saw with the black band seems to be the eventual "Prestige Gold" (gold body, black band) color. Other colors are "Carbon Black" (black body, black band), "Mystic Champagne"(champagne body, white band), and Titanium Grey (grey body, black band).

I'm not a big fan of the design at all. It seems very boxy and boring. But then again I didn't sleep at a holiday inn express last night.

wait, so you mean to tell me people rushed to judgment over a rumor? the horror

I've been looking at reviews for the Huawei P8 on YouTube, and I have to admit my excitement brewing for next week's announcement. Given the fact that we know the 6P is supposed to be a metal unibody device, I'll be shocked if the device we all saw in the leak is the final product. Since the device takes its design cues from the P8, I seriously expect the final product of the 6P to be as refined and streamlined as the P8 device I'm seeing in these various reviews, and the devices we saw in Jermaine Smit's video.

I've been thinking the same thing. It just doesn't make sense that Google would push out such an unattractive phone as we've seen in the previous leaks. Those literally have to be early proposals or something of the like. I no longer even presume to think that was the final product. Hence, I'm actually excited about seeing the final version. 🙌

It was probably a mule device. Car companies do this all the time, they take an existing vehicle and add all kinds of stuff to it and sometimes even change out body panels to disguise it.

pfff, I would take a Ferrari enzo which looks like this, so long as it has a 3500mAh battery

I agree if you compare the 5X leaks to the 6P leaks you can definitely see close to final build in 5X but not the 6P. The 6P seems to be very guarded in leaked design and specs.

given the direction battery size has gone, I'd be shocked if that 3500 rumor is true. I think it'll be 3000 or close to it, something I hope I'm very wrong about. looking forward the seeing that and which USB-C is used on the 29th

A 3450 mAh battery has been confirmed: No QHD ? no SD 820 ? - Post #6 - XDA Forums

That is if you believe he's a reliable source. People have vouched for him, so that's good enough for me.
