Annoying pop up boxes

Does anyone know how to get rid of the annoying white pop up notifications that appear for everything phone calls, texts, twitter, Facebook?
They are not app specific at all.
Here's a screenshot.... Again this box shows up for everything not only certain apps.

Each app should have its own Notification option in the Settings.
Check those and let us know.

None of those settings have any effect at all on the pop ups. I've tried them all.

I only get these for texts and phone calls. Never anything else.

The only thing I like this for is that incoming calls don't take over the whole screen when you're in the middle of something. Otherwise this way of showing notifications is much more intrusive than in older versions of Android. I'd at least like to be able to control how long each alert stays on the screen before it disappears. Feels like it's there forever now.

If I want to dismiss them, sure. I'd want them to stay in the notification bar though so I can act on 'em when I'm good and ready, rather than having them pop up in my face.

Got you... When I used to use textra you could do that ..but I like this messaging better..I bet they give us that feature down the road
