Annoying samsung email app

Just upgraded from S7 to S10. On the S7, using the stock email app, if I received an email from one of my two email accounts installed on the phone, I could open it and continue to see both accounts after I closed it.

On the S10, if I open an email from account X and then close it, only emails from account X are displayed. I have to manually go into settings and select both account X and Y to see both of them again.

Anyone know of a fix for this so I can always see both accounts and not have to keep changing the setting manually?

To be clear, this problem occurs only with the pop up email notifications.

How are the push notifications with the stock app using gmail? Any problems?

I disabled stock and have used "Nine" for a few years now. I love it.

Uninstall it and use Gmail instead. And yes, that one can actually be uninstalled.
