Another AOD question

So on my Note8 and my Note9, and I swear my Note10+ was doing it for awhile, the AOD would turn off if the phone was placed face down for a bit and it would come back on if picked up. Now it is on all the time, every time I pick it up it is already on. Anyone else notice this? Or is there some setting that I might have accidentally ticked/unticked?

It does do it, just not sure how or when it kicks in. I've caught mine being off a few times on the couch while watching TV (and doesn't have to be face down), so it must use the accelerometer to detect that it's not moving and the light sensor to detect light conditions.

From my personal observation. It doesnt actually turn off. But it kinda fades from white to yellow tint. And brightness go very low.

That's just it, mine never goes off now, it is on every time I pick the phone up from being on its face. I kind of used as a battery saver, down to save battery, up when I might need to look at the AOD.

On my Note8 and Note9 it would turn completely off when face down for a bit, then come on when I raised the phone. I swear my Note10+ did the same thing at first, but now it is on all the time.

Yep, many reporting this issue. I did about a month back. This seems to have stopped working on Note 10s after the September security patching as far as I can tell. I even posted a review about this on the Galaxy store under AOD app to let developers know but no fox yet.

It sucks because it is even on when in your pocket. Which is stupid.

I was able to find this app aodNotify.

LOVE IT. Gives you full control when your AOD should be on. So I have my AOD to tab to show but the app turns it to fully on when I get texts or missed calls, or Whatsapp texts. You can control when to turn it on app by app basis. Again, love it. Give it a shot.

I tried many and this one is PERFECT.

Using this for a while too since my S10+, really good app, perfect for just showing the AOD when needed. Alot of options and control of the AOD with this app.

Cool, I will have to try it. Thanks
