I have a question. Does the Bionic need to be rooted or unlocked to get this screen with this Battery Icon on it?

I wouldn't think it would have to be rooted . I am pretty sure you don't need to be rooted to access the battery info for a battery widget.

I would love to know how this screen was done though - it is gorgeous! The launcher is just replacing the icons for text; there are widgets that would do the clock; that weather widget down the left side is very cool - I haven't seen that before.

I would love to find out more if you get any further info on this.

ok - I think the vertical weather widget is "Palmary Weather".

The clock, date with the line may be "Chronotopia" , which I am using but I haven't tried to configure it like this.

Definitely, I want to see how this whole screen was put together. I'm always up for changing stuff around. I like the way that the phone, messages, etc. are on the bottom like that. Very cool weather app.

So the only thing we don't know is the launcher - I was playing around with Launcher Pro and I can make images with text and replace the icons, but that is a lot of work, there's probably a launcher that lets you replace the icons with text that I am not familiar with.

All the major launchers can, doesn't matter which you use, my screen used to look similar to this for a while

Several months back i remember one of the android RSS feeds i follow talking about a text-only icon tray. I seem to remember the name being something like "simple text" looking that up it may be:

OK, its SiMi clock for the battery and time widget, GO LAUNCHER EX plus simple-text for the launcher icons. I cannot figure out the weather, nor can i get simi clock's divider bar to travel the whole vertical length of the screen.

Its 'possible' that the divider bar is actually part of the backround image, though i doubt it.

Perhaps the ram score isn't based on capacity, but is also a measure of speed?

Yes, it's definitely not a capacity thing and is instead a performance/speed figure. If you total up all of the numbers, it comes out to 5,045. So this benchmark is a benchmark of the overall system hardware, and not simply CPU or GPU. RAM, internal memory read/write speed, and I/O all factor in. Pretty nice benchmark.

Almost positive the weather is "Palmary Weather" as I mentioned, it is $2.99 though. Maybe part of the line is a border for palmary weather.

ya, that does look correct, i just didn't feel like dropping $3 to test the theory. The line also seems to run on top of the launcher bar. Same weight/etc. The line is also different than the default one for SiMi (line weight, for example).
