Anti virus repair and browser limiter

My son has a new tablet and he thought he got a virus so he downloaded a bunch of anti-virus and cleaning apps from google play store to fix the virus. My question is how do I find out if he has a virus and since it is a new tablet nothing important is on it anyway would a factory reset get rid of any virus if he has one? Then we could just start from scratch.

Second question can you recommend a good ani-virus?
Third question can you recommend something I can limit his access adult websites?

Reset the device back to factory defaults.

Check to see if there is a program that will capture all of the websites that are visited even in private browsing. Some sort of web tracking.
