Any EB13 Users get the OTA update to EC05? Post here!

Thats only for people with Eclair, not people who already had froyo with EB13.

Ok just to clarify, this thread is only for those that are currently on EB13 to see if they're getting EC05. If you're on DI18 (Android 2.1) and get the update, please say so, otherwise we'll assume you're on EB13. This way we can see if EB13 people are getting the OTA.

Since we were originally told that Froyo would come around Oct 2010, people's patience has long run out.

Thank you!!! I keep seeing "I got the update" and then "oh, wait, nevermind" because it's not EB13... are people not reading the thread title? We're happy you guys got the update (however which way) but it's not helping the premise!

My wife (DI18) got her EC05 this morning. I still have EB13 but got a note from Sprint news that new software was "coming soon"...

i just got it today at about 5am. I installed it then i did an oden back to stock di18 and then went and cleared cache and all from the stock recovery method and then factory reset and turned it back on... and ran the update under wifi.... so far so good but why does sprint id only have four pages tw has 7.

Anyway, it seems as I've followed this thread only 2 people with EB13 have received EC05 OTA, others have ODIN, which it seems I will probably have to do. So is it about 2 people OTA?

You know, since I'm already on EB13, I'm not totally convinced that I even want EC05...

To stay on topic, I upgraded to EB13 via the official update.zip method (before it was pulled). No EC05 update for me yet.

Hey! I updated OTA before the upgrade was pulled..Everything was fine. My wife just got back from Iraq, and today got an OTA upgrade to Froyo which also included Sprint ID. Since I upgraded earlier...will I get a Sprint ID upgrade automatically...or is there a way to get it now? Tried to update...but it says I am updated. I am soooo confused!

How? The last update.zip I saw was for DI18 only. I still don't have EC05 update notification and I am on EB13 right now.

If there is a way to update to EB13 without reverting back to DI18, can someone post a link?

Good job! Now everyone else (w/EB13) just needs to muster up a little courage and follow suit.

I don't really feel like wiping my phone / data out just to get the update. I'm pissed off because EB13 was an official update and I must be lucky because I don't' have the reported SD card issues. But now that I'm on EB13 I'd like to be bumped up to EC05 and I'm stuck because I got an update that others didn't get?

Stock 2.1 = DI18

This thread is for people that have EB13 which is the first 2.2.1 release. So the fact your fiance got updated to EC05 is no surprise. Those on 2.1 have already gotten updated to 2.2.1 EC05. It's those of us that got the first 2.2.1 release (EB13) that are stuck without a newer update.

Running EB13 still here, have received the note about SprintID coming soon every day for a week. Still no OTA to EC05, not currently rooted (and running all stock apps), though that will likely change again as soon as (if) the OTA rolls or Samsung posts the update on their site to download.
