I know that for most navigational purposes, Google maps is perfect, and for most dinking around GPS purposes, GPSTrack is good. But I have not found an app that can replace one very basic feature of my old Garmin etrex. An offline (no data required) logger. Something that keeps trails of latlong, speed, elevation, etc, classic GPS style.

Even the Blackberry have this app, in the form of GpsLogger.

Would be nice to see how fast i was skiing down the slope.

Not exactly vital, but still would be nice to find.

MyTracks sounds like it will do what you want. It doesn't have to have data access, but if it does it will show you the track on google maps.

I put "GPS" in the search field in the Marketplace, and it seems there are a few of them. I haven't tried them, but - hopefully that helps you.

Thanks. Latitude doesn't log speed, which is actually useful for skiing. I like to see how fast i did a run.
