*Same* exact problem here. The fact that you have to disable pretty much everything (bluetooth, wifi, location) just to make the battery last through a day coupled with the TERRIBLE RAM management in the S6... It's a loser. I can't wait for the 2015 Nexus 5 to get back on to Stock Android. I've heard great things about the budget 2015 Moto X too.
I will give you an advise, don't go and buy a Moto X 2015, thinking that you may leave your location (I'm not even talking about the others) on 24/7, if you are one of those who think you don't need to turn things off in a phone and your phone should last all day, let me tell you something, SORRY, the way Google has changed the core services and apps, leaving Location and Location History (Plus reporting) on all the time will drain the battery no matter which device, it pings your location basically ALL THE TIME. You'll need to get a device with a 3500mAH battery (like the S6 Active) and if you are a regular user it will last the whole day, if you are a power user, with everything on (What I've described above) you will need to charge it before the end of the day, for sure.
FYI, Moto X 2014 was and it still the worst phone I've owned, talking about battery life, the most I could get on a Full charge was 4 Hours of SoT, with ALL my tweaks and not heavy usage on the 7 days I had it before the Micro USB Adapter/Charger simply blown, and then the worst nightmare I've had trying to get service from Motorola, 4 days on about 20 calls, for hours, and after i asked for a full refund, they took over 2.5 months to give me the Full refund. The new Moto X, even with that battery, for me it won't surprised anybody with a good battery life, not with that screen now.
People still complains about turning things off, I just gave up on this, it doesn't worth the time and efforts, what never ceases to amaze me are the expectations they are having with the poor optimization on Lollipop right now.
