Any luck at your local AT&T store -today- (non pre-orders)??

I ordered a blue phone at my AT&T corp store today around 3pm, around 7pm i was sent a shipped email and tracking says it will be delivered tomorrow by 3pm....


I then told BB to cancel my pre order from last week as they couldn't give me any info. I wish i did this sooner!

I ordered over the phone. I couldn't online for some reason. Also, I'm a premier member but not sure if that makes a difference.

I can't order online either. I tried calling 611 earlier and they said the phone isn't even in their system. Guess I'll try AT&T tomorrow.

They gave me a lot of hassle about why I couldn't order it online but eventually did it for me. Also, they didn't want to give it to me for 199. I had to argue with them about the price until a supervisor finally agreed to match the Internet price. Why they wouldn't automatically do that I have no idea!

I ordered Saturday night from AT&T online. Got no confirmation of July 2 or anything. Just that it would ship when available. Tuesday night it shipped Overnight. Should be here Wednesday by 3pm

Dang, I tried ordering from my iPad and got a popup notification for both colors so I decided not to do it, only because so many people here and 2 AT&T stores close to me told me the 28th, and I thought walk in would be my best bet. Learning from past iPhone releases, if I strike out on the 28th in store, I'll just order online, and let my device ship when it ships. At least that way I know I'll have it eventually, and won't have to keep searching. Thanks for the info, interesting to know.

What was the reason for not wanting to give it to you for $199? Was that in store pre-order or online?

Has anyone had any luck getting the corporate stores match the target price of 149.99? I pre ordered mine through radioshack and they are willing to match the price. I just am tired of waiting

I can't freaking order online. The online website is so damn buggy and makes you log in whenever you do something. It also said it'd ship on or around July 2nd.

So I tried 4 different stores just now - told them I read online it would be for sale in store tomorrow. All of them confirmed that they are supposed to start selling it tomorrow but none have received their shipment. They're still hopeful that the shipment will come in tomorrow but told me I'd have to check back...

Looking iffy.

Just called BB Clearwater. Was advised July 9th. Called BB in St Pete and was told sometime next week, that the phone availability was listed as "TBD." Somewhere in there me thinks is the correct date.

I returned my phone to an ATT corporate store, the employee had trouble reverting my account back so that I'd be eligible for an upgrade so he wrote some notes on my account and his business card along with his signature. He even sold me some TecTiles and gave me his Samsung TecTicle wristlet. He told me the 28th but I called the store today and they said "sometime next week" other stores I've called say tomorrow and others say they have no idea. I feel like tomorrow is the lucky day but who the hell knows.

Went out to ATT this morning in Syracuse NY. I have been contacting them everyday for the past week or so to see if I could nab one up in-store.

He said that they received a corporate memo this morning that the release of the S3 is still TBA, which he said could mean today or it could mean next month, he really has no idea. I went ahead and pre-ordered at the store and it should ship within 24 hours.

Better than playing tag I guess.

EDIT: The price was originally $299 and I questioned why it wasn't $199. The reason was that the Family Talk 900 plan I was on is no longer offered by them, so if your on a talk plan (not data) that is no longer being offered the price of the phone is $299. I switched to a new plan Family Talk 700 and the price went down to $199.

So why is AT&T saying the release date has been pushed back when it was officially announced as the 21st of this month, and PLENTY of people already have them? No one seems to have concrete news, and Samsung is mum on all of this grrrr! Did Sammy just not make enough, or what?
