Any NEW Sprint customers with 1 year contract?

Has anyone had any luck obtaining a 1 year contract from Sprint as a new customer purchasing the EVO?

I may try a couple stores tonight, but so far through telesales, I am continuously told I need to sign a 2 year contract.

If you have had any luck, let me know. Also, what did you pay for the EVO with 1 year?

I think you may be confusing the upgrade offered to existing Sprint customers after one year if they are on one of the everything plans. As far I know, you are still required to sign a 2 year service contract.

One year contracts are only available for current sprint customers. If you are at your full upgrade. 22 months for non premier or 12 months for premier you can choose to only receive $75 instant savings for a one year contract. If you are non premier customer only at your 12 month mark you may do a one year contract for $25 instant saving.
