Any Nexus 4 owners check out the Blackberry Z10?

Just wondering. Saw one yesterday and wondered if anyone else has checked it out? One plus is you do not need a specific data plan for ATT. I could just pop my LTE SIM into it and it would work fine.

I used to be a BB user years ago and then you needed your plan provisioned to BIS (Blackberry internet service) in order to get data. I'm not sure if you have to do that anymore. You be able to pop your SIM in and you're ready to go.

Mine should arrive this week, I'm eager to try it out.

You don't need BIS to use the Z10. I set up my cousins Z10 the other day entirely over wifi, you can use your existing data plan on it doesn't have to be BBRY

I'm actually not the least bit interested right now. I'm going to wait a few months to see how it progresses. I'm not going to deal with the new OS/device "quirks" right now. And it probably won't be until the end of the year that we really see if the OS is here to stay. Right now, they'll get a good boost since it's something new but it will remain to be seen if it's going to be long term or like WebOS.

Make sure to come back here and give us your thoughts about it since you have had a Nexus 4.

Will do.
It'll likely be my primary backup (replacing the S3) until I get the S4 this summer so I'll play with it til then but post about a week after I get it.

As a Z10 owner I can assure you, you just pop in the SIM and go. I love this phone.

I'm jelly... I want a z10 soo bad. The os looks sweet! Sadly over priced

The fluidity of the OS and the fresh look of the software make me wanna check it out, but the app selection and the fugliness of the phone itself make me not wanna go near it. I'd love to try it out and play with it for a bit, but never to own one. Not until the app selection is better at least and that could take a year or two before great devs are on board.

Looking forward to your thoughts and contrasts & comparisons to the Nexus 4 and android. My first three Smartphones were Blackberry. I thought I had moved on but for some reason I am interested in hearing about this phone...

I was initially interested at first but now I'm not even remotely interested now that it's been a little while so I picked up the Nexus 4 instead. Besides being an amazing device the Google ecosystem is just too strong to give up

I assume you're done by now. So how is it?

No. Its still in my eyes a beta phone a shot in the dark by RIM praying there new OS catches on. After this iteration I'll try the next one if there is a second version.

I have seen too many reviews to say it is a beta. Main complaints are lack of apps that we use all the time on android. As for OS, I used to update my OS all the time on my blackberry. Much more so than android. Not sure if they will keep that up but, I hope they realize the quicker they provide updates for bugs and features, the better for their business.

Messed around with a collegues for a little while. As a fan of competition, I'm somewhat rooting for BB (even after owning a BB Storm...), but the entire experience was extremely "meh" as a person used to a modded Nexus. Felt pretty good in the hands. Let's just say I wanted my N4 back before he wanted to give it back...

He's a corporate dinasour FWIW. Only one I've seen in the wild.
