HA I wonder why they skipped over the A, B names and started with C ,(Cupcake) ?

Because it takes time to bake a (Cup)cake
I like to think of it as an All Butter Cupcake!

They released Android 1.0 and 1.1 without names, and then Cupcake was 1.5. Seems like they didn't come up with the dessert theme until then, so they started with C to acknowledge the two previous versions.

Also, the only A desserts I can think of all involve Apples, and I can't imagine early Android would have wanted to draw that comparison QUITE so clearly.

First version is Alpha (internal testing), then you move to Beta (public testing) then release. That's probably why they started at C.

actually as the final say in firmware release is with the carrier I could see big V touting JB smooth as butter but comes with a plan "upgrade"

I was reading up on some of the new features. I hope we will get the update soon. It seems like I had to wait forever for Tbolt updates. Still never got ICS.....

Whenever I get the phone, it will have jb on it within an hour.
