You know, I'm VERY glad that this thread exists. While fanboyism, or if not that, at least exclusivism tends to be less common in the Android camp than it is in at least one other ecosystem, it's still nice to see something celebrating "multiplatformism".
At one point, I was actively endeavoring to be completely immersed in each of the three major ecosystems at least, maybe even going quad for some Linux distro (probably Ububtu), or heck, going completely out of my mind and going quint (making a distinction between first and 3rd party Android.)
But as the bitter realities of the sheer crushing weight of the economics and time commitment involved began to sink in, I think I've had to reluctantly retreat to the more tenable position of at least having some kind of involvement in them all.
As it stands right now, I am in the best shape in Apple, followed by Windows, with Android (not by design) and Ubuntu significantly trailing:
In Apple, I have:
Mac Mini - 2014 redesign (purchased in early 2016).
iPad Air 2 (purchased in early 2015)
iPhone 6+ (purchased in fall 2015).
In Windows I have:
A custom built gaming PC running Windows 10 pro x64 (built a month ago or less)
A Nextbook Flexx 11 (cheapie Surface knock-off) originally running Windows 8.1 now running Windows 10 Insider Preview - Fast Ring.
XBoxOne
XBox360
In Ubuntu I have:
An early 2012 Acer Aspire One (model 722?) originally running Windows 7 now running Ubuntu 15.10.
And in Android, I have:
Remix mini
A 2011 HP Touchpad originally running WebOS now running Cyanogenmod CM12 (Lollipop).
My priorities now?
A Chromebook.
Partitioning the boot drive on either the gaming PC or the Mac to install Remix and/or Ubuntu.
Maybe buying an Android tablet.
Since they're so cheap, I might buy a Lumia Icon and put it on insider so I can have a W10M phone on Verizon.
If I could find a cheap Android phone worth its salt that I can hope for N on, I might buy that too. I really want a Nexus 6p, but that's too expensive to be reasonable.
My gaming PC was built on the cheap using a hand me down Mobo, CPU, and GFX card. As such, I can really only expect roughly PS4 level performance out of it. So upgraded components to make it perform well better than the consoles (as a gaming PC should).
