In short I have a DX that won't charge but is still under warranty. Originally I was planning on selling it and using the money to get the GNex with my current upgrade. Now I'll probably be getting a different one as a replacement which i could probably sell for more as my current one is a bit ruffed up. HOWEVER, I was wondering if possibly verizon would just allow me to trade in the DX with my upgrade for the GNex...

Any precedent for this? Maybe If I fuss about having to wait for the warranty center top fix it (irony about waiting and GNex though...)?

I doubt it, if its under warranty they will likely send you either a DX or DX2. Now what you could do is try to convince them to allow you to upgrade early but that is about it. Get there at closing time, maybe someone needs a sale that day.

I'm not 100% sure but I think most of the time its not Verizon replacing the phone its their insurance company so I don't think they could do this.
