I love buying Xmas presents for myself but I cannot really think of any reason to upgrade my note 3 to note 4. The worst thing I s the note 3 has so little trade in value or even private sale value. Can somebody think of a reason to go to note 4 that I can't?

If your happy with the note 3 it is still a great phone . I love the screen improvement with better color accuracy and the 16 mp camera which is why I upgraded

Did you have a note 3 before? I find the screen pretty nice. Is the 4 brighter in the sun and hopefully dimmer at low light?

I sold my Note 3 for $400 on Craigslist. I paid nothing for mine because I got it special from AT&T.

i paid 700 to keep unlimited VZW data so not as great a deal for me...but I doubt I could even get 400

Check your local Craigslist and see what they are selling for. If you decide to sell there, do local sell, no shipping or PayPal. Shipping with PayPal payment is a huge scam on Craigslist, as are phone numbers from the 919 area code, when they text about your item.

Phones sell quickly there. A lot of people want a good deal off contract. I sold my Note 2 seven months ago for & 275.

I don't like the idea of meeting the seller personally so Craig's List is out for me. I would trade it in or sell to a professional reseller. Less dough but no stress.

You meet them inside McDonald's or some other public place inside. I have sold several phones that way. I meet them during the day, inside a public place.

Yes, I've also heard VZW store is a good meeting place so buyer can activate but I don't like dealing with people I don't know personally. Just me. I know that would produce more $ but I don't need the stress.

Well yeah the store is a good place to meet. You never deal with them after the sell, the sell is as is.

With my S3, N2 and N3, I have sold all 3 for a total of over $900 and paid a total of $115 for all and $1 for my brand new S5 at Best Buy on Thanksgiving day.

If it is all nut, blocking and a report to the police is all that takes. I've sold several phones and never come across a nut and I just tell the "please ship I will pay you with PayPal" that I'm not interested in a scam deal.

My experience is the Note 3's camera took forever to focus right, the Note 4 is a slight improvement, the note 4 is a little laggier for me than was my Note 3 (neither of them rooted). The only reason I went to the Note 4 is that someone wanted my Note 3. If not for them wanting my Note 3, in hindsight, I probably wouldn't have gone to the note 4. I may go HTC the next upgrade I'm eligible for. I have been a little disappointed with the Samsung line of phones, which is really bad because after 6 years of HTCs, I finally got fed up with them. Funny how you don't know what you've got until it's gone.

Yes, I have gone from Motorola to HTC to Motorola to Samsung. I may actually go back to Motorola just to get one silly feature I really miss: red underlining of spelling errors if you install google keyboard. You don't need to use google keyboard, just install it and choose check spelling option. It used to work on LG G3 too. If it works on LG G4 I might try that otherwise I will miss my I.r. blaster in Samsung.

I'd say stick with the note 3 I wish I would have saved the money and got it when it was on sale for 416 for tmobile but I do like my note 4 I really can't wait to see the next lg device

i hate big phones thats why i got a.. (phablet)

I have done 100's of craiglist buy and sells and have never had a issue. Just be smart and meet in a place where other people are and you wont have a issue. I seem note 3 going for 300 - 350

My Note 3 only supports 3G while we know that Note 4 supports 4G, too.
So maybe some time later, I will have to upgrade to Note 4. :(
