Any regrets getting this phone?

No regrets here!
I'm loving my 6 Pro.
Fingerprint sensor is reliable.
Cameras are fabulous.
Call screening is a godsend.
Voice dictation is amazing.
Screen is gorgeous.
Everything is so fast.

This is a joke, right - Fingerprint sensor is reliable? This phone was way, way overhyped. Compared to my Pixel 5, it's a horrible user experience. A big heavy brick with so many bugs, I have lost count. It is Dec 21, and I still don't have the Dec update. If and when I get it, if it does not fix all the bugs, I am going back to my Pixel 5. It just works...

I'm sorry you are having so many problems with your new Pixel. If I had the problems you are having, I would exchange it or return it.

I upgraded from a Pixel 3XL and I can honestly say that my Pixel 6 Pro is the best phone I've ever owned. Yes, my fingerprint sensor is indeed quite reliable.

Let me reaffirm my original post:

Certainly not a joke for me. I've been having a great experience with my 6 Pro, FPS and all. I'm certainly not denying that some units seem to have issues, and the phone's design and features can't satisfy every person. But to call this a "joke" is too much of a generalization.

They discovered some bugs , they did the right thing to stop the rollout. This was happening on Samsung s21 after Android 12 with bugs , Fold 3 was delayed on Android 12 because of bugs so it happens, but if your not liking the 6 pro maybe try to sell it and try recoup most money back , I had the pixel 5 and that was really good phone .

No joke for me. My only issues are battery life and running a little hot occasionally. But in every other way this is the best phone I've owned (except for my Palm Pre(s), but that was the OS and physical kb and a completely different experience).

I miss my palm pre although it's far from the best phone I've had lol. It was one of the most innovating and exciting phones during it's time though. It started the trend of what we know as multitasking today.

I have a Pixel 5 and love it too! If you prefer it over the 6, head on back! I've read lots of users have been enjoying the Pixel 6 experience though, and the fingerprint sensor to boot. Use what works for you! :)

I guess I just think it was the best UI (and keyboard) I've ever used. I don't mean the hardware or specs were the best, given the advances in technology in the last decade-plus. Also you couldn't brick it and patching and tweaking was significantly easier than I've found it to be on Android.

My only complaint is the poor body to screen ratio. Its damn near almost as big as the S21 plus, but with only a 6.4 inch screen. So its a bit too bulky for its screen size.

had the 4xl then switched to Note 20 ultra. just bought 6 pro yesterday and will arrive early next year. always liked pixel especially now with larger battery i wont have battery anxiety as i did on the 4xl.
to those who also have the Note 20 ultra, does the 6 pro have equal brightness with the Note 20U or brighter?

Yes the customization was before it's time. I still remember the family guy icons and ringtones that I had on the phone. It was also gesture based navigation which is now the standard on newer devices. I think the phone market would be really interesting if we had a 3rd OS to go to when we were tired of Android or iOS.

Just nabbed a new-in-box, unlocked P6P for $600 (!) off my local CL. Did the deal at a Verizon store in order to confirm legitimacy and all is well...simple as moving the SIM. It replaces an LG G8, which replaced a V30, which replaced a G4, so I guess I was a bit of an LG fan boi?

In any case, so far so good. It has only been a few days, but "everything is awesome" as Emmett is wont to say. Battery is excellent, screen is stunning, FPS is a non-issue (though I think rear placement is better ergonomics), radio performance at least as good as anything else I've had. No December updates yet.

I never would have switched to Android if HP hadn't killed webOS. And Duarte wouldn't have moved to Google and developed Android gestures. Somebody would have, eventually, of course, but not him.

That's a great deal! Glad you're enjoying it.

I have found hat life is better if you value things by what they are, rather than what they are not.

Cellphone cameras are point and shoot, not fully functional, professional equipment.

There seems to be a wide consensus that Pixel cameras are among the very best, if not the absolute best cellphone cameras.

I can't believe the Pixel 6 doesn't have any Manual Mode. I have a LG G4 I bought in 2015 that has one, and allows be to do a few little tweaks I need to photograph my work in certain lighting conditions (I'm a silversmith). While I do use Auto mode 98% of the time, Manual is nice to have, and really can't believe Google didn't include it in 2021.

Life is too short to have regrets. Complaining because your flagship phone isn't perfect.

Sorry just had an argument with my very spoiled cousin. She's complaining that her parents ONLY got her an iPhone 12, she wanted the 13 Pro.

I had regrets getting the pixel 6. Main reason, the radius on the sides of the phone makes every case feel too chunky.

I lucked out and got a great price for the p6p online. Came with 3 cases, pixel charge brick, screen protector that was installed perfectly, and the box.

All 3 cases felt so much more comfortable and looked so much better.

I guess but if you are plonking down 1K+ for a phone it better work pretty damn good. Unfortunately the pixel 6pro is just ok. There are just far too many glitches, and bugs. I think it's just android 12 being so new, and combining that with the new chip, it was a recipe for disaster. I still don't have my OTA for Dec. The many UI glitches are getting annoying, and the battery life is similar to my now 2 year old pixel 4xl. I can't say I regret getting this phone, however I'm very disappointed with it.

Fuschia....

Possibly, sometime in the future for phones....being developed by Google.
