Any regrets getting this phone?

I'm amazed at the speed of my Pixel 6 pro working with the forum. It's just as fast as my Microsoft Windows 11 computer. Does anyone else do the forum on their pixel?

I might read this or other forums but when it comes to adding comments I like a desktop and real keyboard.

I have no pc so I do forums on pixel. I have no need for a pc, and I have no need for smartphones to get any faster than they already are. My P6, s21ultra, and P5a are alright with me.

I would be happy if they removed some things and added a 10,000mah battery. Just leave out the camera and there would be enough room.

I too had an eye on Pixel 6 but I somewhat didn't like the look of the phone and I love my S21 plus which has everything I needed in a phone

Samsung is a pretty nifty package. After using my S10 for over a year and a half, I can definitely understand why some prefer it.

The Galaxy S10 is a very solid phone. There are definitely things that the Galaxy phones do better both from a hardware and software perspective than what Google do. The new quick settings tiles in the notification shade on Android 12 is absolutely awful. The wifi tile is no longer a toggle and instead brings up a menu. Have to do more work to achieve the same goal. I'm glad Samsung aren't adopting those quick settings functionality in their Android 12 update. It's not good.

I think this is the first Pixel phone with an inconsistent camera. Previous Pixel phones has extremely consistent, high quality photos, but the 6 Pro is the first Pixel where I've then shots and thought 'wow, that looks bad' and had to delete them. I hope Google work on improving the camera.

Also, I was a bit disappointed Google still only do the 3 years of OS updates. I thought with them going to Tensor, they'd be able to extend that out more.

Agreed. The new quick tile is counterproductive in terms of getting things done in an efficient manner. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw it. Thought I was doing something wrong lol. Luckily wi-fi can easily be disabled using Google assistant, but we shouldn't have to do that when swiping down and touching a tile would also be as quick.

Maybe they should have stuck with snapdragon 765G. Just take the Pixel 5a, make it all glass and pretty. Fancy camera bar on the back. But with an efficient 765G instead of Tensor.

I totally agree with you about the S10 being a powerhouse of a phone -- and about Samsung doing things *better* than Google. I think both experiences are awesome, however.

I also can't stand the stupid Internet toggle thing. Drives me crazy!

I regret getting this phone a lot of hype for this phone and it's underwhelming. Hopefully the future updates improve the experience especially the lackluster camera.

Oh wow. You're the first I've seen complain about the camera. What exactly makes it lackluster? Are there some features you feel are missing?

It needs to have manual camera functions, lots of the images just seem too soft or visible noise and the HDR is on overdrive not giving at least for me real tones.

I have found hat life is better if you value things by what they are, rather than what they are not.

Cellphone cameras are point and shoot, not fully functional, professional equipment.

There seems to be a wide consensus that Pixel cameras are among the very best, if not the absolute best cellphone cameras.

Coming from a 4xl I have zero regrets buying my 6pro. I've been doing the Nexus/Pixel thing since the Samsung galaxy Nexus. I've tried a Samsung galaxy s5 and the LG G3 and G6, but I always end up missing my Pixel. I have noticed on some forums the 6 and 6 pro seem to be giving some users problems with network connectivity. My phone has been fantastic.

Pixel cameras have never had much in terms of manual options -- you'd have to install a 3rd party camera for that.

The softness or noise may have to do with the larger sensor, which is not as good at macro photography. If you're seeing that noise with close-up shots, try holding the camera farther away and use zoom to mimic a macro shot.

I actually love my Pixel 6... so much the iPhone and the Galaxy series devices got put up for sale. I know users have been reporting issues, but that happens with every phone, and while I haven't had those issues- I'm enjoying this phone a lot. Even convinced a couple of friends to come aboard the Pixel Train 🚂

Love your use of the train smiley in your post! You're right that each new device will have their hiccups -- especially phones with a brand new processor. So glad you are loving your Pixel 6!

I picked up a Pixel 6 today. So far so good. I couldnt pass up the BB sale with $150 off. (Verizon model, not the pro model). They even had a Sorta Seafoam color in stock, so I grabbed the last one. Cool color.

What a great deal, and that's so awesome that you got the last Sorta Seafoam colour!
