Any regrets getting this phone?

I upgraded from the Pixel 4Xl to the Pixel 6 Pro mostly because of the bigger screen and the larger battery. The one thing I actually miss is the Soli chip, which I only used to pause and play my music when at work. Never realized how often I used it until I didn't have it.

I also had a strange realign the phone that went away with a reboot, then came back. Now it doesn't happen if I charge without the Google branded case. I'm hoping that solves the problem.

Although I miss controlling YouTube Music with gestures, which I knew wasn't a feature, it's the wireless charging issue that makes me think this wasn't the best upgrade.

I miss the soli lower alarm volumes when reaching and I kind of miss face unlock as the fp is only ok.

If I use my Pixel Stand (1st Gen) then wireless charging is an issue. If I use my Pixel Stand (2nd Gen) then wireless charging is not an issue. I highly recommend Pixel Stand (2nd Gen).

@barondebxl - any noticeable difference with your fps after the Jan 5 update?

My FPS is quite noticeably faster. I had great reliability before the update and reliability is the same after the update. I've come to prefer the front FPS over the rear FPS on my old 3XL. I like not having to pick up my phone from my desk to use the FPS and I like being able to use the FPS while my Pixel 6 Pro is sitting on my Pixel Stand (2nd Gen).

That's good to know, thanks. Didn't want to invest in a new Pixel stand only to have it happen again.

Does your phone get warm when charging on the 2nd Gen? I don't own any wireless chargers except for my freebie from Samsung when I got my Note 8 release weekend 4+ years ago. It charges my P6P relatively slowly which I don't mind but my phone gets pretty warm which I don't want, so I just use corded charging, with an old charger to charge slowly and keep the heat out of the battery.

The Pixel Stand (Gen 2) has a concave scooped back area for air flow and a fan that runs while charging. My Pixel 6 Pro has been sitting on my Pixel Stand (Gen 2) while I'm working tonight and is currently 82% charged. I have an infrared digital thermometer and the current temperature of my phone screen is 98.1 Deg Fahrenheit.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll stick to corded charging because that's 20 degrees warmer than mine plugged in and charging, checked with my infrared thermometer.

Fair enough. I keep my phone in my pocket next to my body all day and my body averages 98.6 Deg Fahrenheit. I don't think that my body temperature is degrading my phone battery. At least I'm not going to fret over it.
