Hi it's been a month since I had my Galaxy S8 and back when I had my Galaxy S7 I would get security updates every month. So I was wondering if anyone has received any security updates for the last two couple of months?

Security updates every month on Samsung phone? What carrier are you on? What you are mentioning is more of a dream Land.

No. It's actually reality.

Why worry about a security update. unless your always on public networks downloading from unknown sources.

The unlocked phone should be updated direct from Samsung no matter what carrier but I'm looking at 7.0 with an April security update as if today.

Just received mine for may. I'm on T-Mobile. Haven't noticed any other changes. Freed up some storage tho lol

T-Mobile's AQEF version released today includes May 1st security update and Stability and Bixby updates.

June Security Update was released just this Monday for Pixel and Nexus, so technically, our phones are "up to date". No excuses for not having 7.1.1 already though, I know that it may not be night and day in features compared to 7.0, but more than 7 months after it was released, there's really no excuse as of to why Samsung (and a lot of other OEMs BTW, but Samsung is the bigger one here) hasn't released it to their Flagship phones.

I will be very curious to see how long it takes the Unlocked versions to receive this update. So far nada

I'm on Verizon so monthly updates aren't their forte either

While maybe they're not monthly, Verizon is one of the better carriers (dare I say best carrier) for Android security patches for the first year of a "flagship" device's life.

Got my May update this morning. Rogers in Toronto. GS8+.
My notification this morning...

Would have to disagree and say Sprint
