Hi it's been a month since I had my Galaxy S8 and back when I had my Galaxy S7 I would get security updates every month. So I was wondering if anyone has received any security updates for the last two couple of months?
Security updates every month on Samsung phone? What carrier are you on? What you are mentioning is more of a dream Land.Hi it's been a month since I had my Galaxy S8 and back when I had my Galaxy S7 I would get security updates every month. But it gets better when carriers are involved.updates aren't Samsung's forte
No. It's actually reality.Security updates every month on Samsung phone? What carrier are you on? What you are mentioning is more of a dream Land.
Some critical vulnerabilities let an attacker take over your phone just because of a website you visit or a media file you play. In fact, Google's May 1 update--which we don't yet have as of June 6--patches several such vulnerabilities:Why worry about a security update[,] unless [you're] always on public networks downloading from unknown sources[?]
I'm on Verizon so monthly updates aren't their forte either
My notification this morning...Got my May update this morning. Rogers in Toronto. GS8+.
Would have to disagree and say SprintWhile maybe they're not monthly, Verizon is one of the better carriers (dare I say best carrier) for Android security patches for the first year of a "flagship" device's life.
