Any way to block ads with the YouTube app?

The ads are driving me insane... Having to wait between 5 and 15 seconds and watching some new piece of crap car lol.

I have ad block plus for my desktop chrome browser and it works great.

Any options for this phone?

Are you rooted? If not, I don't know of a way.

If you are rooted, you can install the Xposed framework: Xposed Installer | Xposed Module Repository

and then install this module: YouTube AdAway | Xposed Module Repository

You'll need to reboot to activate xposed I think, then activate the module in Xposed and reboot again.

My phone since rooting last night is way better already.
