Any way to disable double tap to wake with circle case on Verizon?

So I got the circle case because I loved how it protects the phone front and back.

Only issue is that while working it constantly goes into the quick circle apps and I start hearing the camera going off. I love the case and don't want to get rid of it. I would rather hit the power button to wake phone up.

Any help without root? I haven't seen how to access any hidden menu on Verizon

You will have to root as far as I know.
