Any way to disable LED during Do not disturb?

What's just as bad is the blue LED light on the Samsung rapid charger. It's just as bright at night. Had to put a piece of black electrical tape over the LED on the charger.

Unfortunately, there's no such thing as a quick guide to Tasker. It's almost like learning how to program. It's complicated, but if you work at it suddenly it will start to make sense, and then it's a very powerful tool for automating all kinds of things.

I'd take a look here: Tasker for Android
and here: https://www.reddit.com/r/tasker/comments/30jiob/what_is_the_best_tasker_guide_for_noobs/
and maybe some of these links: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=tasker+tutorial

It's not hard, it's just a steep learning curve.

OK here's what I came up with to disable the LED light. I set it up to turn off when the phone is on the wireless charger.

Prerequisites:
Tasker ($2.99):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm

Samsung LED Controller Plugin (Free):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tinyroar.galaxys3ledcontroller

Profile > + > State > Power > Power
Source: Any, AC, USB, Wireless, Other (I chose wireless)

New Task > + > Name it (Optional; I named the first one LEDoff)
+ > Plugin> Galaxy S3 LED Controller
Configuration (Select the Pencil)
Everything should be off
Check mark

Backout to Profiles tab
Long press LED Controller
Add Exit Task
New Task +
Name it (Optional; I named the second one LEDon)
+ > Plugin> Galaxy S3 LED Controller
Configuration (Select the Pencil)
Everything should be on except blocking mode and power saving mode
Check mark

Download macrodroid and just create a macro. That's what I did.

Thanks for the tip on the plug-in. I bought Tasker but never took the time to set it up. You're instructions were perfect and hopefully that means no more blinking blue lights when I sleep.

Cheers!

Yes. This is what I did.

I have it setup to disable the LED if it's charging and it's between 10pm and 7am. This works perfectly and it's much easier to setup than Tasker. It's also free as it only takes 2 macros to do this and the free version allows up to 5 macros.

The Samsung led plugin link not working. Do you have to be rooted for this to work?

Use MacroDroid. Easier and cheaper (free)
Downloaded it, I'm presently looking how to do it. There's no setting for while in charger, wireless charging, or do not disturb mode. I'll keep looking, but any suggestions let me know, I'm a ***** when it comes to this. LOL

I used this exact YouTube guide.

This is really made for disabling between certain hours while it's being charged independently of your Do Not Disturb settings.. If you want the LED disabled while it's not being charged then I'm not sure.
