Anybody considering the Razr Maxx?

I'm probably sticking with the GN, but I'm wondering if anybody is thinking about jumping ship and going for a Razr with that ridiculous battery life.

Nope. It's made by Motorola and I'm not a fan. I don't care if it had a battery that lasted a week.

i was just reading that the razrmaxx will have the same exact crappy screen res as the current razr, and not an HD screen like the razr maxx released in china.

so, it's simply a razr with a huge battery.

There's very little you should consider regarding this notion. The Moto has way to much going against it to even think about switching from such a fine device.

Moto: Non-user battery access, qHD screen, locked bootloader mentality, IMO the horrible bezel and shape of the phone, and no pure Google.

They do have better radios, typically however.

Just wait. I'm sure at MWC or sometime around then we'll see a RAZR Maxx HD with a 720p screen and an updated camera. :-P

That would be like going from a Corvette to a Cobalt. No more Moto phones for me (unless the next nexus is made by moto)

Locked boot loader = fail... Non removable battery = fail..Removable SD card, yeah, who transfers files that way anyway? All my pics and music are in the cloud and I can transfer to my HD at anytime..I doubt I'll ever fill the 32gs on this thing and if I do, into the cloud the playlist I'm tired of goes.

With Seidio coming out with a 3800MaH battery soon (almost twice the extended Verizon battery) the only downsides to the Nexus (for me) are the Camera (somewhat mitigated by alternative camera apps) and the signal in certain areas (hopefully fixed in a updated ROM).

Other people have reported other issues, but battery/camera/signal are the only ones i've seen mentioned by an overwhelming number of people. Personally, I love it.

Heck no! I am not interested in yet another Motorola device. Not to mention I am not interested Blurscream Sandwich whenever Motorola Development finishes up that skin.

I wonder how many versions of the Razr Motorola will release this year. It was one last year and what two far this year once this latest round is released?

My TBolt with stock Gingerbread and Sense 2.1 was a solid device ... I think it would be sweet with some ICS love. I really miss the kickstand and simultaneous voice/data .... But man oh man, that battery.... It's like there's a dead short somewhere in that phone ... Geez....

Oh yeah .. No Razr for me ... Wife has a D3 and that UI they have on there leaves a lot to be desired. VERY disappointed that Moto went to iPhone blue for the GB interfaces. Plus, the build quality on the Razr is nothing to write home about in my opinion. They talk about the GN being plastic?? The whole Razr body is plastic and the "Kevlar" back is just a sticker on a plastic back. At least the GN is solid ...

Love my GN :)
