That slab feels really good in the hand (Flossy? ) and a solid machine. I personally prefer the flat glass and IMO that 2:1 screen flat looks good and don't have to worry about finding a good glass protector. To me I think the S8 camera is the better of the two but the G6 wide angle lens sounds like a cool feature. The S8 is beautiful but LG did a good job on design too. Pluses and minus' between the two but both really nice phones.

True, though the LG is a slab and the s8 just feels much nicer in hand.

I have the G6 and S8+, but the screen is better and brighter on S8+ and camera is also better on the S8+ for me (minus the wide angle camera). What I do love on the G6 is the feel of it and it's just a fun and comfortable device to use, super ergonomic​. It does most things great but doesn't excel in any thing. At the end it depends what you want. A comfortable phone which does most things great or a sexy phone that looks stunning, filled with features but not super ergonomic. It all comes down to individual preference.

This is a really good description of the two. For me though, I can't really tell much of a difference in camera performance in my pictures. I think the camera is just preference.

And may get cheaper as time goes by. Didn't take long for V20 to go a few hundred dollars cheaper and nothing wrong with that phone either.

It's also about $200 cheaper than the s8+ (at least at tmobile).

The G6 isn't a bad phone. I enjoyed it and even had fun with the wide angle lens. My only gripe was camera launch speed.

It's amazing how many focus so much on the Camera. These are flagship devices, it's not as if they're your old school 4MP pre-iPhone days.

I have both the S8+ and the G6, OP is you're reason is the display you will not get it from LG. IMO Samsung is the King in this.

I agree Samsung got a little fancy but I get it from a sales point of view. When edge first came out like majority I loved it! Did you know it took me two days to realize to notice it. Guess what I haven't used it.

Ergonomic, price I would take the G6 but I'm an addict so I have both. LOL

I think many of us fit in the addict column with phones. I keep saying I'm done and end up in the same place. I even try to justify keeping both. I'm going to send the s8 back with the plans of getting a drone and messing around with drone video and photography.

Usually the allure new phone wears off for me in a few days. It's been about 3 or 4 weeks since I've gotten my G6 and I'm just as excited about it as I was the day I got it. I genuinely love this phone, it's size, it's performance and it's features. I just need a built-in stylus.

This G6 is just about tied with my Note 4 as the greatest device I've ever had. I'll have it for a while.

I'm glad I split the difference and went with the G6 and the smaller S8. Both feel great, not too big or small, easy to handle. Good battery life, great cameras and I get 64gb of storage out of one of them, I'm done. The S8+ may have the larger battery, but it's slightly too big and too expensive. I feel bad that people are running back and forth between devices.

Wow that was fast, I'm assuming you don't have the app drawer yet. All apps that you have, you can swipe to the left..
But many people advise you put the app drawer on your phone.

Settings > Display > Home Screen > Select Home > Home & App Drawer

that should make finding your apps a little easier.
